Default Saying "Goodbye" at the end of 2024 - players who'll be missed by team/league.

Charlie Blackmon - nice ceremony before Rockies vs. Dodgers game.

Kyle Hendricks - nice sendoff from the Chicago crowd in what could be his last game as Cub/MLB player.

The Rockies are probably (hopefully) going to let Riley Pint walk this off-season.

I am personally going to miss these two very much. Charlie has been my favorite Rockies player since relocating to Denver 8 years ago.

As a Cubs fan…Kyle was so instrumental in the Cubs ending their drought in 2016. No amount of words can appropriately convey how much he meant to me being able to celebrate a moment many thought would never come. If Saturday was his last Cubs start, I’m glad he went out in throwback typical Professor fashion.

Kyle was the last remnant of that amazing 2016 team. Definitely a sad day.

I was shocked when I saw Joey Votto wasn’t mentioned in the OP

I was there Saturday for Hendricks' start. It was magical. Also, my son's first trip to Wrigley. He got to be on the field for BP and was in awe of everything. The ballpark experience crushed what he'd seen at Target Field 20x.

Justin Verlander. He's been everything you could hope for from a starter for the last 18 years, and his run with Houston has been fabulous. He's coming back from an injury and definitely not the pitcher he was, and he's 41. He might not even make the postseason roster. I don't think he's made any decisions yet. If he's done I'd be sad, but I wouldn't want to see him hang around on some other team for another year or two just for a few more million.

Scherzer's one of my favorites, but I think he might be done.

It really upsets me that he never really won anything as a Cardinal. Besides the regular season of course.

I’d be surprised if the Ms bring back Mitch Haniger though he has 1yr left on his contract, ~ $15m.

Seems like such a good dude.

J. D. Martinez has struggled and the Mets management probably wasn’t to enthused that he took maternity leave in the heat if a season ending run. He has a nice 1.5 million secured for years after he is retired.

Owners, Pete Seidler last November after the season and Peter Angelos this season. Pete and Re-Pete. Hope there isn’t a three-Pete as a Owner.

I think Goldschmidt definitely has some left in the tank. Gleyber is probably gone from the Yankees, I’ll miss him but I’d be lying if I said he didn’t frustrate me at times. If this is it for Verlander and Scherzer, it’s a bit sad. Also, I’m happy Charlie Blackmon is going out on his own terms. Always loved him, and if you’ve ever played MLB The Show, you’d know his swing is a cheat code.

Max Fried will hopefully get the respect he deserves outside of Atlanta. All reports I've seen say he's headed to the Dodgers but there is always a surprise team that pops up so we will see.

Disappointed that the Giants did not sign Brandon Crawford (or Brandon Belt) to 1-day contracts so that they could retire as Giants.....
