RIP Charlie Hustle. He was a jackass in a lot of ways but a darn good ballplayer. Just like Cobb and countless other HOF players. Time to put him and Shoeless Joe in.

There are several guys that did much worse things that Rose that are in the HOF. The HOF is a privately run museum who's mission statement on inductions is: Honoring, by enshrinement, those individuals who had exceptional careers, and recognizing others for their significant achievements.

Not many players had a more exceptional career then Rose.

It's sad seeing your childhood legends pass away. Pete Rose was an incredible ballplayer. One of those that made the game great.
