Default Obscure Marvel Character Sketches

I pulled this sketch earlier today, and it made me think of lesser known Marvel character sketches. I’m not sure how many there are of War out there, which made me want to see some other lesser known character sketches that you all have.

Love the concept. And yea those are both pretty obscure (although well done)

Cool thread! I also think it’s fun to get slabs showing the obscure characters nam and adds them to the registry for future people to find in search.

I recently sold this one on COMC

And I slabbed this one myself….

And how about this “obscure” but widely familiar Star Wars character?

A few from the CA: First Avenger master sketch set I am trying to put together (trying to get one sketch card from every artist; but also tried to collect as many different characters as I could):

Blackout

Capwolf

Amphibion

Whizzer

Speedball

Battlestar

Union Jack

Thanks for sharing so far everyone! I love seeing these sketches. I actually sent my War off to PSA last night and I love the ET sketch!

I’m usually pretty good at identifying characters but at a loss for this one… anyone know who this is?

Guessing Archangel.

I thought coloring was similar but the Wolverine-like ears throws me off a bit. I am cycling through images of Apocalypse’s Horsemen and not really seeing a match. But I think it is probably a character Apocalypse related even if it doesn’t end up being Archangel.

Most obscure character I ever saw was Kidney Lady from the first WOM set by Simons. A Howard the Duck character. I think my comment on the old sketch board was, "Doesn't get much better than that."

This guy is probably my most obscure. Someone told me awhile back who it was but I already forget.

I hit a Frog-Man from Marvel Flair I think. That has been my most obscure - sold it on eBay already.

That looks like the best possible match although I’m not seeing this exact helmet design on my Google search so maybe the artist did their own spin on it or something. I think I will slab it and see how PSA identifies him.

I’ve noticed the real weird characters can actually get a boost from the quirkiness. On one hand being obscure hurts value, as almost no one collects the character, but on the other hand, how many Frog Man sketches are even out there? You basically have control of the Frog Man sketch market

I no longer have this, but it was once part of my Remy Mokhtar collection. I had no idea who it was until I actually sold it. It is Diamondback from the Serpent Society (and other teams).

So glad to see this thread going strong. Love checking out these sketches everyone has! I’ll share a couple eventually that were sent to PSA through COMC. Wait times are atrocious unfortunately which we all know.

You don't see a lot of Eon sketches.

EDIT
Sorry, not sure why it posted sideways.

Here's a 4-card puzzle I pulled from the Captain America: The First Avenger set, of some of the Serpent Society members:

Diamondback, Black Mamba, and Asp
