Probably soon. My nearest Target can't move its A&G blasters. They've taken over.

The time is now. Get to buying!

Please note: off-season price dips don’t apply to players who finished hot, especially in the playoffs. So you won’t see any crazy deals on Judge, Betts, Ohtani, etc. BUT, you’ll find great prices in Julio, Acuna, and whole slew of others. I got a great prices on a Vlady Jr card the other day. Do you think a guy like Carroll with have a bounce back? Think Gunnar will find a next level? Think someone like Riley Greene will break out? Now’s the time to place those bets and start buying up their cards.

The stock market and crypto is on fire.

I don’t expect many discounts from the can’t take a loss bros.

Most of the players I collect are retired or dead, it is a permanent off-season for what I collect.

I've seen and taken advantage of some deals. Especially guys I feel are going to have a bounce back year next year and lower end guys from teams that may be poised to make a run next year or the year after.

What do you guys think about Paul Skenes cards? His prices might be as low as they are going to go now and although not cheap - if he is as good next year as he was this year then i think his cards are worth it. Example: 2023 Bowman Draft 1st Chrome True Blue Refractor Auto PSA 10 can be had now for 2 to 3K.

If you like Paul grab some cards for sure

If you are thinking a 2-3k Blue BC Auto is a good bet to go up that seems a risky pucker IMO. Just be ready to move it as soon as it hits a target profit cause med or long term- pitchers(esp in Pittsburgh?) are pretty far down the baseball card popularity ladder.

Some numbered Skenes are good value since more true "RC" are coming out Now, The brands more that come out the cheaper most brands should get.

But really Pirates are not winning anything next year, so he might be even cheaper even if he looks like he is Cy Young material in 2025.

You are better off asking is Roki the next Skenes at a cheaper level if your just prospecting pitchers, which is always the big Card risk.

The problem is now that offseason prices are here i am toying between getting a 2023 Skenes or 2020 Witt Auto or another 2018 Shohei refractor.

Always grab the batter before the pitcher.

Acuna's are so cheap now...but its possible they can get even cheaper.

IMO Skenes will never be higher than he is now. People buying now like he is best pitcher ever. In two weeks when he doesn't win Rookie of the Year there will probably be a small dip. Next year when teams hit him for the third or fourth appearance and his ERA jumps you'll get another dip. Then innevitabbly when he gets injured in the next 24 months you will get a BIG dip. What pitcher EVER has held this value? He isn't going to be Nolan Ryan and play for 40 years. At best he is what Pedro martinez.....where is his market compared to Skenes?

A lot of purchases won’t look like a “steal” right now, but will once we’re in the heart of the ‘25 season and big storylines emerge.

Yeah, I am curious too where the Hype will be.

2024 rookies these look like the favorites in pricing Chourio, Holliday and Skenes makes the biggest buying sense based on their age and card availability. Merrill might be priced too high already.

Series 1 will have Crews Rc probably and Rocker, Mayo? not sure who else made it at the end of 2024 season so they will be Hyped for the whole year.

And Maybe Bowman 1st speculation will be hot on Jenkins, Anthony, Meyer and Basallo, Clark.

The 18 year olds : Salas, Devries, Walcott but probably will be hyped with the 19 year olds at spring training.

Then Roki if he does come over will be interesting.

The players to be buying right now are the post-hype guys.

Name the last pitcher to come in with hype, produce, and become a hobby darling with big cards that sustained their prices. You gotta go back a bit. The odds are definitely against any pitcher right now.

Jeez. I've been so up to my ass in buying cards on the cheap I haven't even had time to post on Blowout. The only thing that brought me in today was the Bowman Draft checklist. I want to see all the guys I won't be buying until next September.

His cards will drop when he (inevitably) has his first TJ surgery
