Default Are adults allowed to enjoy Disney parks without children?

What say you?

Absolutely.

Amusement parks are for everyone!

Though I wish multiple choice was an option because BoNix does suck.

Absolutely! Mr JD and I went on our honeymoon there. They would totally make an absolute killing if they made an adult only park with all the magic of the 80s and 90s. Free up lines, too, for families with kids.

Fun for all ages!

Not my first choice for a vacation, but nice to go every once in a while.

My Mother In Law loved it.

Me personally I would enjoy it if I brought young kids who would enjoy it

No, not a chance. I've been 4 times in my life, once as a kid (great life experience) and 3 times as an adult with kids of my own (Only enjoyable to see them have that experience). Space Mountain used to be the only ride for adults but now they have Tron which was fun but not worth an almost 2 hour wait. Other than its all for the littles. Although Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean are classics that I still enjoy.

I couldn’t think of a bigger waste of money than going to DisneyWorld without kids

Can I just skip the parks completely?

I would pay to just hang out at the Polynesian or Animal Kingdom and relax at the pool I suppose. Those resorts were fun

There isn’t a chance in hell I’d go without my kids. It’s all for them

We’ve been twice in the last 5 years. I hope I’m done

It's BETTER without kids - Epcot is pretty epic when you eat/drink in every country! I've been a few time as an adult without kids and plan on doing again in the future

"Disney Adults" are precisely why reasonable people don't want to visit Disney World anymore.

We took the kids to Disney and Universal a few years ago. One night my in laws watched the kids and my wife and I went to Universal. Was a great time. That didnt even cross my mind when we were in Disney.

I have not stepped foot in Disneyland since 1993. That's when me and some friends of mine went there waited 3.5 hours for the Indiana Jones ride. When we finally did get on the ride it broke down three different times. I swore that would be the last time I ever went there.

Adults who go there without kids are creepy.

Also, BooNix sux

I have never been to Disney, actually never been to Florida. A guy I work with takes his family at least once a year. We are planning on doing a guys weekend this Fall. We are both Star Wars nerds so we will be doing that and Epcot drinking.

Went in 2018 with my mom, I was 33 at the time. Best trip I ever took. She'd go lay down from lunch to dinner, so I got to do whatever I wanted. I get that Disney Adults can be annoying, but to me, those are those uber fans who have never taken a trip anywhere else but Disney and spend insane amounts of money there. Went with my kids in 2022 and it might have been the worst trip I've taken.

Serious question... what did you do when you were 33 and alone at Disney?

If you were just hanging around the resort with a cocktail that isn't Disney. That's just sitting at a hotel

Did you just walk around the park alone riding rides while your Mom was laying down?

My response earlier only refers to Disney World/Magic Kingdom which is how I took the question. Universal & Hollywood Studios are different and absolutely ok for Adults only. Have never been to Epcot.

Rode a ton of rides. Aerosmith had a single ride lane, so I rode it seven times in a row. I had the time of my life, but I recognize that it's not everyone's cup of tea and to be honest, with how much they've raised prices and started to really squeeze people, I'm not sure when I'll go back.

With the price to get in, anyone paying to “drink” at Epcot is not smart.

I think the general rule is that you enjoy most things more without kids involved

Unless you're a Florida resident.

You mean you don't like when your kids are screaming at the top of their lungs and fist fighting each other over who gets the purple cup?

Without my kids I’d never consider it
They’ll probably get one trip to Anaheim before junior high

Pretty sure my last trip to Disneyland(never been to DWorld) was in 1986 for the premier of the MJ starring short film Captain EO. On opening weekend they did some promotion where the park was open nonstop from FRI AM to SUN night, without closing. As I recall we went on FRI and around 9 or 10pm we somehow convinced our (obviously punchdrunk and broke)parents that me (at 13) and my stepbro(then 11) would be ok to stay at the park all night alone. It was the 80s and I guess it's a different time now, although looking back that seemed some leaky parenting maybe... Nevertheless, they returned to pick us up around 10am on Saturday(we lived in nearby Buena Park) and all was well.

We took my boys down to some Sesame Street themed small waterpark in San Diego for a day of fun 2 summers back and had a great time but hideously overpriced, overcrowded theme parks are definitely not my bag.
I won't deny my kids some seemingly iconic childhood memories by skipping it but for now at least they seem way more interested in our annual trip to the central coast of CA for an incredible little 3 day camping/music festival in Big Sur we've attended 4 of the last 5 years- thank god.
