Will Smith YG confirmed as well as the return of first round rookies. The usual crop of random inserts that will be 5 cents a pop on COMC after epack are there as wel.

So they basically made the 1st Round Drafts look like YG's now except with the label on the bottom corner?

Return of 1st Round Rookies? Weren't those the ones last year where they were just from a Draft photoshoot where they were standing in their jersey with no helmet?

I think the 1st round rookies looked like that with the early 90's "1st round logo" prior to last year.

I googled "upper deck 1st round rookies" and I'm seeing 2022-23 in the same style so at least in Extended it's been the past two years, not sure about prior to Extended none of the ones in other style popped up in images and it's not that big a deal to do a deeper dive lol

Extended usually has 30 YGs, they are going to add the Nacho Platter and whatever the mascot for Utah is to fill out the list.

What is the latest in a season a player can debut and still make it into extended?

Kraken have had 5 rookies play their 1st games. 2 in Feb, 2 in Mar, 1 in april. Yani Nyman who started in March had 6 points in 12 games and looked like he could be a solid player.

Not sure what the cutoff is, but I think most of those would roll to S1 next year. I look forward to Rinzel, Lev and Moore getting S1 YG next year too.

I don’t disagree but every-time there’s an upcoming flagship release there manages to be guys who “look good at the moment”. Thing is unless you just plan to rip and flip immediately that doesn’t mean a ton, where’s Adam Fantilli at? One of the “guys looking good” for last extended?

The cutoff is usually mid-January so they all should be in 2025-26 products. That being said, Ales Stezka backed-up a lot of games earlier in the season and is eligible to be in 2024-25 Extended if they decide to put him in it.

Interesting that both the 23/24 and 24/25 extended series YGs are added as acetate YGs this time around. Hopefully they'll be a little easier to hit with nearly double the acetates available. There's also more numbered inserts, including the Silver Skates gold as a /250 instead of unnumbered parallel.

It looks like they did away with the retro set so no Retro Celebrini/Hutson/Michkov YGs. However... Malkin, Marner, Erik Karlsson, Larkin and Byfield (???? why) are getting outburst retro YGs as a scarce hit.

All that said, MSRP better be down.

Happy to see Montour in a Kraken uni finally. Being the teams fan favorite, his cards out the gate will be selling very high like Daccord's in his 1st set in a Kraken uni last year.

Yeah, all 23/24 Extended YG and all the 24/25 YGs, even the teammate YGs are on the acetate checklist. Not the 1st round picks though (they are on the clear cut checklist).
