It's still priced as though they have them. And to stick it in further, the checklist will probably be released the week after this stuff hits the shelves. What a fun 'hobby'!

I disagree with this partially. Yes last year was bad but we still had AR, bijan, puka, flowers, addison to chase. This years it’s just penix and jj and then who legette? Way worse this year imo

How many football autos are FANATICS producing? The same as last year. A few unlicensed garbage looking cards. I'll take Panini anyday.

I would have been ashamed to put AR. Ladd had good of a season of any rookie besides Puka.

I've been priced out for so long I haven't even paid attention, but back in 2016, 2017, 2018, Prizm and Optic Hobby boxes were about the same price, but Optic's thing was that there was only one auto per box but the auto was on-card, as compared to Prizm, where you got three autos, but they were sticker autos.

Ladd, and Brian Thomas jr. BT jr is going to be great and a future all pro imo. Brian Thomas is one of the guys i have been collecting and i feel he is under the radar. Ladd is going to be a steady 1000 yard guy. I want a Joe Alt auto that is not a sticker but i can't seem to find any. I don't collect sticker autos. I think those things are fine if you put one in every donruss mega, but in products that cost a bit, imo it is rediculous.

Let the breakers and breakees waste their money... then buy the few good singles.

It's great to hear "do you know how much a box of this cost?" and "this is a really expensive set" when you make an offer on Prizm, Black, etc cards on eBay.

0% chance. There hasn't been a single pack out issue since then from Panini. If it is ever going to happen again the odds of it being the exact same product there is a better chance of you winning the Powerball.

There are errors fairly often.

One of my buds who does breaks/consign had a Panini Black case pack this year that had 3 RPA and 3 case hits in it... the next pack from the case was 4 base, no autos, missing a card.

[each "box" aka pack for that product is 5 cards: a rook base/parallel, a mem, an auto, RPA, and a vet base/parallel]

Stuff happens.

That obviously is not the same thing we are talking about. That hasn't made any difference on the market of that product. 2023 Optic Football FOTL had many cases that had 15-40 Downtowns. This issue absolutely skyrocketed the sealed wax and break price for this product. The odds of what happened with Optic FOTL happening again before Panini loses the license is basically 0%. The odds of it happening on the exact same product 2 years in a row there is no chance.

Remember when spending a grand on a box was getting a goofy looking suitcase with one pack of cards. Those cards were autos, patches, maybe cheap diamonds, etc. Now one grand is just a normal box of standard shiny set.

How much money percentage wise would you be down buying any basketball or football hobby box presale from an online retailer over the last year or so? By my count there is 1 product you would be around break even on. 2024 Prizm football. Every other product is a loss now. Right after release almost every product was a loss too. Anyone buying something well over MSRP at these price manipulators listed prices is a moron. That price is only put up as a way to artificially manipulate the market. 99.9% of what they are selling is under the table at a lower, in most cases, much lower price.

2023 Optic is selling for half the price of 2023 Prizm. 2024 Prizm is around $1100 a box. Who the hell do you think is clamoring to buy 2024 Optic for close to $900 a box? Answer. Nobody with a brain. It will be selling for $550-$650 at or right after release.
