I've been sitting on a few coin books I inherited from an uncle of mine that passed a few years ago. I collect baseball cards and am the only hobby centric person in my family so they were given to me after his passing. I knew absolutely nothing about coins at the time, nor do I have much knowledge now. I finally took the time to dig into the history of coin collecting to see what I should be looking for, and these 5 coins were the ones I came up with.
Group lot of all 5 coins all VDBs including one toned, one in decent condition, two meh conditions, and the 1909 S: ![]() And here are some zoomed in pictures of the S, toned, and good conditioned ones: 1909 S VDB: ![]() ![]() 1909 VDB: ![]() ![]() 1909 VDB toned: ![]() ![]() It's been pretty neat learning something new digging through these. I can see the appeal to collecting coins. I'm still looking through all the other stuff, and look forward to some new stuff to learn and look for. Thanks for checking these out, and let me know any helpful tidbits should any be though of. Alex

Thanks!
I’ll definitely be looking to get the S VDB authenticated, and might see about grading the toned and good quality VDBs. I read a lot about the counterfeiting on those S coins, and I’m confident I’ve got a genuine one. I was hoping a matte proof was one of these but I don’t think any are.
