Default Opinions on Best Game Used jersey/ Patch Set of All time

Looking for opinions on the best game used set of all time. Would need a specific year and set. IMO 2010 Certified Fabric of the game is the cleanest and best looking set with a great checklist. Please GAME USED only nothing player worn so that would virtually wipe out anything 2019 and newer. Let's see what everyone's favorite is

The early Leaf Fabric of the Game sets were the best. All game used, deep checklist and lots of patches.

In order (IMO)

2003

2007

And then your 2010

The first set that comes to mind is 2001 Leaf Certified Materials Fabric of the Game. Had a strong checklist, nice design, and they still put a photo on the back of the actual jersey that was cut up.

I nominate this B.A.M.F. of a set.

2012 Leaf Limited Jumbo

#'d 1 of 3 Prime Game-Used

Nice sets IMO 2010 edges them out but overall can't go wrong here

For me, 2011 Plates & Patches City Limits. Always loved the hometown skylines on each card, and it was a decent chase with several #'ed /31 and below.

1 Larry Fitzgerald /10
2 Michael Turner /49
3 Joe Flacco /299
4 DeAngelo Williams /99
5 Julius Peppers /299
6 Peyton Hillis /99
7 Miles Austin /299
8 Brandon Lloyd /25
9 Jahvid Best /99
11 Matt Schaub /99
13 Maurice Jones-Drew /99
15 Percy Harvin /50
17 Devery Henderson /299
18 Ahmad Bradshaw /99
19 Jeremy Maclin /25
20 Heath Miller /15
21 Philip Rivers /99
22 Patrick Willis /99
23 Steven Jackson /99
25 Santana Moss /31

that's got to be in the running. Always liked the Jumbo absolute primes and they were GAME USED. Can't believe the garbage Absolute is producing now and the fact people are buying it

That has to be up there as well. GAME USED and mostly veteran HOF checklist I just don't get why people keep paying for garbage rookie and non game used patches that are PROBABLY WAL MART REPLICAS

Not here to vote on the best Game-Used set of all time, just to give more of an antecdote as to where the hobby is now.

I busted wax from about 1987-1994, then not again until around 2015-2020.

There was a 2016 set called Panini Clear Vision. It was a cheaper box break than most, but I did pull a /10 Game-Used John Elway jersey card. The jersey piece took up just about all of the card but the border. It was 1/3 orange mesh, 2/3 white jersey number material, with a long grass stain streak on it and some dirt staining.

Beautiful card. Flipped it as I didn't PC the Broncos, but that's what you could pull out of a $80 box in 2016.

Now, you buy a Flawless Briefcase for several THOUSAND dollars and you get "not associated with any player, event...."

Such a shame the hobby took such a dive into a complete pile of poo, but people are lapping it up at that price so I suppose I'm the fool....

Agreed. Either bring back authentic game used or IMO these cards with "sick" patches of BS non game worn will be worthless in the future. Why would I pay an insane amount of money to get a nice 1/1 shield or whatnot when it come from a random ass 40 dollar jersey. Folks buying non game worn will be surprised IMO. they are worthless to me

Went through some of my scans, and football's definitely tougher than baseball. But here are a few I found.

I love how they all say game used and have a picture on the back of the jersey etc.

I can't remember, but the first 25 or so of each were autographed. This is BY FAR my top game used set of all time. I pulled one back in 2000 and is one of my favorite cards to this day (Unitas Auto).

Are you talking about this one? I had 2 complete sets, each one serially #d/100.
