Default Name someone who played for your team but doesn't have an auto

Robbie Ray showed up in Toronto in 2020, played one full season in 2021, won the Cy Young, and never got an auto in a Jays uniform

I'm more of a 90s guy, and my list used to be longer, but Archives has helped check off dudes like Pat Borders, Cecil Fielder, Jimmy Key, etc.

Who is someone you wish had an auto in your team's uniform?

Justin Verlander with the Houston Astros. With his aversion to signing autographs I doubt he ever signs in the future for any products.
Zack Greinke is in the same boat.

Ben Zobrist and Johnny Cueto were critical in KC's 2015 WS. Neither has a certified auto in KC uniform.

Fanatics if you are reading this pass to the Archives product manager, thx.

I don't think AJ Burnett has any autograph cards featuring him in a Pirates uniform. He was only a Pirate for a relatively short time, but things were great when he was with the team. Also, I don't think Pedro Alvarez ever had one as a Pirate either.

I don't think I've ever seen a Jeff Blauser pack-pulled auto at all. I very well might have missed one though. I think most of the short-term guys I'd actually want have Braves autos though. The hobby is pretty good at catering to Braves fans I must admit. Colon and Lofton are the first two that jumped to mind and they have several in Braves unis.

Rey Sanchez with the San Francisco Giants.

Orlando Cepeda was a family friend and once brought me into the SFG clubhouse after a game (as a kid when they played at Candlestick Park).

He introduced me to various players/coaches but Rey Sanchez was the only player to approach me on his own volition (he also saw how beat up my hat was and provided me with a new one that he signed).

I've always wanted a Rey Sanchez autographed card in a SF Giants uniform.

They are definitely hard to find, but Piazza has a couple of Marlins autos. Some are unlicensed of course, but his 2004 Absolute Auto is in his Marlins uniform and one sold recently on eBay:

2024 Topps T206 shows him as having a Marlins auto on the checklist, but I've never seen one. Good luck!

Jim Bunning or Rich Gossage for the Pirates too. Although neither had a Topps card in a Pirates uniform. Both Bunning's Pirates card were hatless shots in a Phillies uniform. Gossage had a card in 1978, but it was airbrushed into a Yankees uniform.

No Blausers is going to make it difficult to complete my goal that I never truly put any effort into completing of collecting an auto from every player on the 1997 Braves WS roster

Does Zach Eflin have an auto card? Don’t see any on COMC.

I've never understood it, Verlander is such a miserable human. I have met a ton of pro sports players through the years in my line of work, and he is probably the worst, even no tippin Pippen is more pleasant.

2016 WS Roster Cubs I have had to settle for non-Cubs autos, or none at all of:
- Aroldis Chapman - had to settle for Yankees auto
- Chris Coughlan
- Justin Grimm
- John Lackey - Angels auto
- Miguel Montero - WBC Auto
- Mike Montgomery - Royals auto
- Hector Rondon
- Pedro Strop

Dave Stewart didn't have a Jays autograph until Topps Archives Signature used buybacks. After that, he still doesn't have a themed insert autographed card.

Porfi Altamirano

Iconic Phillies relief pitcher in the 80s. Topps better not miss the opportunity to redo those 83 and 84 cards with a certified auto in a future Heritage release.

Rusty Greer has no Topps autos not even a repack signature series one. Very strange.

For a while, I was trying to scoop autos of everyone from the 92 and 93 world series teams. Freaking Candy Maldonado has one, but some guys like Stewart and Borders took forever.

Winfield only has a couple, and they are insane SSSSSP. I've never actually seen one, but TCBD says they are out there.
