Yep, underrrated film indeed. I still like the Exorcist better, but this is a good watch. Not scary, but good movie

So, I use to really like this movie, but I have found something to be true.

Many people, and I am not saying you, say this is in their top list, but it is because it is the “in” thing to do.

I first watched this movie in probably 1992 or so when a friend would reference it all the time and finally made me watch it. I think it was just finally seeing what my friend was referencing that made it so great.

I have met so many people that put this on their greatest movies ever made, but then again never actually have seen the whole movie, just clips from YouTube.

Now, with that said, go fetch me a shrubbery!

I used to watch Monty Python's Flying Circus on PBS every Saturday night in the 70's as a kid.

I used to have a handful of their comedy albums including the one with 3 sides.

I have seen this movie countless times.

It IS my favorite movie of all time.

With that being said...

😂

I wasn’t doubting you at all. Glad to see a fan.

I always liked all the Monty Python movies, but I could not get into the Flying Circus at all.

In my house as a kid, the only channel I could know for sure would come in was PBS. I remember being 12 years old and still watching Sesame Street because that’s all I had.

Even then, I would walk away from Flying Circus. No idea why I enjoy The Life of Brian, but cannot make it through an episode of Flying Circus.

What was great, is it was one of the original skit comedies that paved the way for so many other shows.

It's an impossible question. The movies I've rewatched the most in my life are probably the original Star Wars trilogy, Pulp Fiction, The Big Lebowski, Swingers, JFK, Dazed and Confused, T2, The Matrix and Up In Smoke. There are a lot of other movies I would consider to be 10/10 but not things I need to see more then once or twice.

I'm going to guess I've seen Raiders of the Lost Ark maybe 100 times in the last forty years. I'll pay to go see it in theaters whenever they bring it back.

That is very fair. I just really go by the movies I can’t help but watch when I see them on.

JFK is a great movie. I forget about that one and how well Costner did in it. My biggest issue is that it is like 3 1/2 hours long and I never have that long to watch a movie. It’s one of the ones I remember having to put the second tape in half way through.

Raiders is great. I would have put those as my favorite series, but the last one…I just couldn’t. Raiders is great though.

Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story are probably up there for me too because I watch those every Christmas season. I haven't seen JFK in a long time but I had it on Laserdisc when I was in high school and watched it a lot back then. 3+ hr movies for fine with me back then but these days I don't want to sit through anything over 2 hrs.

Old school. You had to change sides in the middle of the movie which was annoying (although my player automatically switched). But picture and sound was far superior to VHS at the time.

I am a big fan of They Live and everything John Carpenter does. Nothing better then a sci fi movie with Roddy Piper having a full on wrasslin fight scene in the middle.
