Not sure if Jacob Wilson has an official thread or not. He should! 14 game hitting streak to start the season! He is a contact machine! Not supposed to have a lot of power but already has 2 hrs. Crazy only 2 strikeouts and 0 walks. He hits everything.

So many keyboard warriors worried about his power/exit velocity. Look at his average, K/BB, zone contact throughout his college and pro career. Kid can flat out hit.

Can’t wait to see some version of this lineup soon:

Keyboard warriors indeed. Nobody that knows anything about his profile or what he's done at every single level (including MLB) should be concerned with regression. There are almost zero comps: whether you like it (contact) or don't (power) almost nobody does what Wilson does. There are two comps: Steven Kwan and Luis Arraez. That's it. Go check out the advanced stats.

...for anyone who hasn't kept up w/Wilson, btw, they put him on a program this past offseason to build muscle not so he could hit for more power, but so he would hopefully avoid lower body injuries that have plagued him. It's paid off and - now that he's 200 lbs (he gained 15) - he might eventually develop the kind of modest power that Kwan and Arraez have. Walk/strikeout/contact rate stabilize much faster in a career than almost every other metric so we'll know in a year or two at the latest, I think. Either way it's such a fun ride to watch what he's doing.

I’m not saying he’s going to be a superstar, but just haven’t seen anyone swing and hit everything like him. Nice skill to build on for a young player I’d think.
