2025 Leaf Metal Pop Century Case Break

I got a case direct from Leaf. I don't know if its the norm or just a coincidence but every case has two on-card autographs and in my case, they were the top two boxes. It would be easier to keep track if they did it that way but also would be easy for re-sellers to know which boxes have them, obviously just my case isn't enough to prove it but something to be mindful of.

Anyway here is what I pulled on a box by box basis, the three card picture below also had the Pearl "mystery autograph" in it. On the redemption site even after you put it in it doesn't tell you what it is so I guess I'll just be surprised.





















Of the list of signers every case has "at least two" of, I got four: Mel Gibson, Marisa Tomei, Drew Barrymore, and Margot Robbie. Overall I got some good names, maybe not the top top signers but a fair number of inscriptions and of course a lot of 1/1s as is Leaf's tradition.

It's good that the Baldwin and especially the Mel Gibson are on-cards. It'd be pretty tough to get those full signatures on stickers.

I didn't picture them but every box also came with two (unsigned) proof cards. And I did get one printing plate. I find proof cards have a pretty narrow market and aren't worth much but with the right person sometimes they sell for $10 to $20. Not going to rock anyone's world but a little bonus anyway.

At least they got rid of those useless memorabilia cards, especially the chopped up concert ticket cards.

Pop Century is one of my favorite breaks as its just really hard to get bad value. Not saying every case will be a ROI success but you aren't going to risk getting a 20% or 25% value like you do with some sports. Nothing in 2025 with cards is risk free but its on the closer end then most. I won't know for sure until its all done but I think every box I opened has a re-sell value of at least $175 to $200 with the higher end being $700 to $800. Box #3 from the top was probably the worst box, value-wise.

Also a bit of a "I'm dumb" situation as while I handled the cards a few times maybe because I've never watched the Sopranos I didn't notice until I was doing pictures that the Soprano multi-signed card has six autographs, not three. I just hadn't noticed until I went to sell it. So that was a fun surprise while also shaking my head at myself.

interesting observation about the top two boxes.

Another site had single box breaks posted and the first 2 breaks sold and were broken open. you can't tell what stack or order the boxes came in, but the first box break had elizabeth olsen 1/1 auto and the second box had a brie larson 1/1 auto. Already decided that I'm not buying into breaks 3-6 that is posted, just in case...

Not a higher end pick for sure, probably could have been worse.

I pulled an auto of her this year, she actually sold pretty well.

I crushed by Pearl this year, but last year I got Michael Rooker... WOOF
