Default Are there Albert Pujols fans out there? Question

Those familiar with this Pujols guy I have a question. What do you think a game used base from the 3,000 hit game would fetch on the bay? The base was used from innings 1 thru 6, Pujols got #3,000 in the 5th inning. 1st base was sent to the Hall of Fame, this is 2nd base we're talking about, Mariners kept 3rd base. Not sure it matters but Pujols, Ohtani and Trout all touched this base. It's MLB sticker authenticated. Trying to gauge if it's worth putting on ebay at .99 and letting it rip. It's not like I can just go check the ended listings page, there's probably single digit the number of players to reach 3,000 hits after the MLB Authentication Program was enacted. Rude and hateful comments towards OP also appreciated.

Don’t sell at auction. Set a high BIN and let the future buyer come to you. May take some time.

Agreed with above ^. Not an item I'd put up for .99 auction

That'll probably be where it ends up given enough time.

I don't even know what a high BIN would be on something like this. Plus doesn't ebay start charging you a bunch of money to list things at hundreds or thousands of dollars?

You’ll never find a true 1/1 comp on an item like that. All you can do is search previous auctions for similar bases and go from there. eBay will charge their usually fees. If you’re looking to minimize that, see if Goldin will give you a reduced rate and put it in their Goldin 100 auction.

It is pretty bad. And the Tulo's in the collection certainly don't help things or give anyone a reason to take me serious.

Goldin is a good idea, didn't even think of that.

Yeah I think I'd find an auction house to move sometime like that.

Don't put it up with a high BIN and hope a buyer comes along before the entire collectibles market crashes. You've got to hurry.

Just build a wiffleball field in your backyard and use this as your 2nd base.

Easy peasy nacho cheesy.

Collect harder and do whatever it takes to get the other bases from that game.

I'm with MMF on this one.

It's a significant piece.

Goldin should be offering 100-110% for something like that.

I don't know if any of us were prepared for just how hard you actually do collect.

Screw Kenny Goldin. Auction it yourself and become more famous than you already are. It would make me throw up in my mouth to see KG go on some show promoting some significant piece of memorabilia that I had consigned to them. Not that it would ever happen.

If going the AH route, skip Goldin and Fanatics. Although, as someone already mentioned, Fanatics will probably end up with it and cut it into a thousand pieces someday.

Good luck and go hard!

I'll gather my notes and reach out to this Goldin guy (assuming I can find how to contact them). Besides Goldin and Fanatics, any other auction houses worth reaching out to? I have my doubts any will auction it with no fees.

If anyone was wondering what happened to the Center Field sign from the house that Griffey built Safeco Field wonder no more. Also MLB authenticated. Takes a forklift to move it though

Edit to add: Left Field sign got chopped up into individual letters and sold off, Right Field the Mariners decided to keep for their warehouse.

Base is in the hands of Heritage Auctions, thanks for everyones recommendations. It'll be part of the October catalogue.

I’ll take the “F” if you ever decide to chop up that Center Field sign.
