After seeing him at the HOF ceremony I'm honestly surprised he lasted this long..

As a Colts fan it is going to be interesting to see if one daughter takes over or if ask 3 have a role...

Remember the X video of him leaving a stadium a few months back in moterized wheel chair the guy looked really rough and a guy who was in his 80s not his 60s.

Shows everyone what a hard life of drugs and drinking does to a person.

Valued at $4.8 billion and guessing each kid gets a equal share of the team so might be decided that they sell the team and cash out.

I've heard that one of the daughters hates the team and wants nothing to do with it.. so that wouldn't surprise me if a sale happens

WOW. His health was concerning the last time he was mentioned. It just seemed that there wasn't much time left.

RIP

He was such an interesting cat. Had a huge super cool music and historical relic collection, it has it's own website. I hope he's hanging out with Hendrix and Kerouac tonight..

Whichever one takes over can't be a worse operator than their dad

Well, maybe not the one that had the failed ice cream store next to the monon...

For a guy who was 65 he looked a heck of a lot older.

The Packers were the ones with a bug up their butt, Irsay watching bad QB after bad QB play for the Colts the last 6 years is what did it.

Wrong it was the NFL that had the issue. GB did not care they were the ones asked by the league to bring it up for a vote. Murphy decided to take the hit because he was retiring in a couple months he did not care.

It's crazy how few people I talk to actually know this. The narrative was set that the Packers were sore losers that brought up this issue and hid behind injury concerns as an excuse.

He also smoked cigarettes like a chimney and took PED's to compete in amateur powerlifting competitions and could have taken PED's to play college football.

He wasn't the typical multimillionaire's son.

Anyway RIP...

This is what's happened whenever multiple heirs have inherited shares of various teams in the big 4 leagues.

Unless Irsay created a living trust type situation for the franchise I can't see any sibling taking a huge loan to buy out the other siblings and paying taxes on top for their inherited share.

the other siblings can just take loans on their 1/3rd share of the team. any bank would give them $100 million if they asked.
