A perfect pairing, 2 1/1s on the 21st anniversary of my collecting #21!

Excited to land arguably two of O'Neill's nicest cards over the course of just one summer after over two decades of being on the hunt.

Thanks Luke for working out a deal on the GM. It gives me a 1/1 from each of O'Neill's possible playing years spanning from 1997 to 2000.

The Logoman from 2004 SP Game Used Patch was a set released at the time I started collected O'Neill in the spring on 2004. This card commemorates that era of cards and this milestone in my collecting journey.

Thank you everyone for the kind words, it still seems surreal to own these two. Although it will be hard to top these acquisitions, I will continue to chip away at my needs. The hunt remains, for me collecting is about the chase, it is just as rewarding to find a tough regional oddball as much as a higher-end parallel.

Updated collection stats....

1993-2002 Yankees cards = 940/1064 = 88.35%
Have 89/90 Tek base, 45/89 Tek diffractors, 5/40 1 of 1s

Just 124 cards remain! This count includes all 1/1s and diffractors. I count all printing plates as a single card (as Beckett does). I am not actively chasing aftermarket cards such as convention stamped cards, backdoored proofs or executive promos although I do own a few cards not listed on Beckett OPG but on sites like TCDB. Those are not counted here as well.

Breakdown of what remains:

45 1998 Tek & Diffractors
35 1/1s
10 National Stamped 2001-2002 #/5
34 main needs

At one point, I've had a 100% complete Reds uniform collection from 1980 to 2002. I since moved on to focusing on just Yankee uniform playing year cards so those are not included in the stats. I've since only kept my 1990 Donruss Aqueous. My near term goal is to hit 90% completion. It requires just 18 more cards, I hope to reach that milestone in another 2-3 years at the current pace.

Needless to say, I've only been able to get to this point with the help of fellow collectors. Thank you to everyone who has helped along the way. I have more cumulative trades on forums over the last 20 years than eBay purchases. My site remains updated. Please keep me in mind if you come across tougher Paul O'Neill at shows/LCS.
