Hi everyone, as my title says, my younger brother, Jeffrey Soptic, played in the minors for a few years (2012-2018). He went in the third round in 2011 to the White Sox, and made an appearance in the 2011 Bowman Prospects and Draft Picks set.
A couple of months ago, I was able to locate his 1st Bowman Red 1/1 card, and acquired that along with the rest of the Chrome refractors (orange /25, gold /50, blue /199, purple, and base) My quest continues, however, after finding out that he likely has a Bowman Chrome 1/1 Superfractor, as well as a 1/1 Canary Gold Diamond Refractor. I am relatively new getting back into the hobby, but at my first show a couple of weeks ago, I was told that this forum might be a good place to look for those two cards. If anyone who has an extensive prospects and draft picks collection could take a look through the 2011 cards to see if little bro bro is hanging out in there, I would love to buy it off of you. Thank you all so much for reading, much appreciated. I have attached pictures of his red 1/1, rainbow, and an example of that years chrome 1/1s that I am searching for. Though I don't know if my brother's would have an auto on them. |

Fast forward a week and my brother was actually in town visiting from California. As we are sitting around having beers, he gets a message on facebook from an old teammate. "Yo man, I bought your 1/1 card, any chance you can sign it for me and send it back?" So we excitedly messaged back that we would love to buy it from him, and sign one of the orange /25 cards for him. So next day, we go to his house (turns out he lives 5 blocks away from me...) and trade him a signed (on the spot) orange card for the red 1/1. Amazing outcome to the whole thing. Then the same friend messaged me to tell me about the chrome 1/1 cards... and now my search continues. |

Your brother also has (4) 1/1 printing plates. There are 4 of them. Cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. Good luck on your quest. They could still be in unopened boxes or packs.

As for unopened packs and boxes, I bought a couple packs for fun and didnt find anything. The problem is everything is super marked up, because that year's Bowman includes Mike Trout rookie cards and Bryce Harper 1st cards... like $800 for a hobby on ebay. |
