Exclamation Advise needed: Which Etopps card should I keep?

With the recent news about the eTopps program closing its warehouse, I need to decide which cards to take in hand and which to take as store credit.
The list below shows the ones I’m leaning toward not to take delivery of (all are RCs). What are everyone’s thoughts? Anyone of these worth keeping?

2004 JP Losman
2004 Julius Jones
2004 Kevin Jones
2004 Lee Evans
2004 Michael Clayton
2004 Roy Williams
2004 Tatum Bell
2005 Brandon Jacobs
2005 Braylon Edwards
2005 Charlie Frye
2005 Jason Campbell
2005 Mark Clayton
2005 Ronnie Brown
2005 Ryan Moats
2006 Brian Calhoun
2006 Jerious Norwood
2006 Kellen Clemens
2006 Laurence Maroney
2006 Matt Leinart
2006 Vince Young
2007 Brady Quinn
2007 Brandon Jackson
2007 Chris Henry
2007 Jamarcus Russell
2007 John Beck
2007 Kevin Kolb
2007 Selvin Young
2007 Trent Edwards
2008 Felix Jones

Take the credit. Just no market for these guys. Plus now being on a dead platform. You might not even cover the cost you'd pay to ship these to yourself if you went to sell.

Cut your losses and move on with the credit.

I would keep two:
- 2006 Matt Leinart (Heisman Winner, National Champion)
- 2006 Vince Young (National Champion, UT Legend/College Football Legend)

Also, both QBs in one of the greatest National Championship games of all time.

Both of those cards are sitting on ebay for $6-$9 shipped right now. And no one is biting. It will cost like $10 or more to have them shipped in.

If they are only worth $5e right now, 20 years removed from that Championship game. I cant see them suddenly being worth more later, once people forget eTopps was even a thing once. People could just buy actual RCs of each for like a buck if they wanted.

That's cool.
That's your opinion.

Thanks for confirming my opinion is cool. Just out of curiosity, why would you keep those 2?

If it costs $8-$10 to have one shipped from eTopps, or you could just buy one directly off ebay if you wanted for less. Then why pay more?

Even if Topps offered just $5.00 in credit for one. That's still better than losing money, right?

Unfortunately, they both are major busts at the NFL level, especially Leinart.

Shipping cost from eTopps is $1.10 for each additional cards.
Store credit is only $1.50 per card.

Only $1.50 per card is kinda insulting. But I get it.

Shipping one card is $5.75 USPS or $11.75 UPS. Before you get to the $1.10e level.

Would you rather pay $38 to get all those in hand. Or have Topps pay you $45?

You would have to sell the lot of em for $52, no fees and buyer pays shipping. Just to break even on shipping them in. And it seems like common football sell for $1e in bulk lots on ebay.

$1.50 per card is definitely insulting, but it’s far from the most insulting things Topps has done to eTopps customers.

I am taking delivery on over 100 cards; and the list above are just the ones that I plan to get store credit for.

Yeah, selling on eBay just to break even or make a minimal profit isn’t worth the hassle.

the 2006 set is gorgeous; it wouldn't be crazy to say they should all be worth $1.10

I can't believe they still have these available to ship and they kept the program open that long. I am sure these were annoying to store. What does Topps do with these cards is my question, destroy them?

Imagine if this was the plan from the start

1. Sell for : $9.99 each
2. Charge: $4.99 shipping each
3.Leave in printing boxes until request for shipment is requested ,then add stickers and holders
4.Wait for collectors to forget, change their email or die
5. Say you're closing the project and give people less than 20% of what they spent as credit.
6. Throw the cards into plastic baggies like they are crack cocaine
7. Charge the same price to ship.
8. Burn it all.

Previous ownership just let it rot. It didn’t make enough to keep it going, but cost too much to shut down properly. Oddly enough, fanatics is the only owner that could stomach the cost of a shutdown.
