Do you expect anything else Fanatics is mass producing product , decreasing quality and hits , A case is going to net you 10 napkins baseball relics worth a buck a piece and 10 tie relics of no name people worth not the paper printed on Another reason why I stopped ripping years ago and will only buy singles off eBay when hype dies down and everyone dumps product Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I mean, A&G has been a loser for several years now, but not that bad a loser. The fun/uniqueness factor is def part of the charm. But jacking the price 33% while taking away some of the fun….eesh.

They just keep punishing us poor folks. Another one to scratch off the list. The rich aren’t going to save this release, nor will breakers.

The website had an Oct. 20 preorder date yesterday, but now says Nov. 3.

I really enjoyed the Ginter Chrome Gold Refractors from 2020-2022. It's too bad those took a back seat to Dog Show cards.

Every year people say A&G is going to be a huge bust and failure and every year it does just fine. Don't suspect this year will be any different.

When will people learn to say no?
I used to buy this product every year up to the point of hitting a rip card. Been doing that since 2006. I stopped during the pandemic. It can be done. |

I used to get some because the non-sport names were a lot more well known and also great for TTM autographs. Now most you need to Google to find out why Ginter made a card of them |

Where are all of you....umm, EINSTEINS,....who adamantly-posited that the hobby would be so much better...upon Craptastics', GLOBAL DOMINATION of the sports cards market...(eg. when there was [effectively] no more Panini)...?!
Sorta' ironic that there were PLENTY of ya', who were willing to [publicly, here]...."bow down" to kiss Ruby's,......err......uhh; RING,...BEFORE he/they commenced to the.....SHHHH FLINGIN' , in our faces, yet NOW,...not too many of ya' willing to stand on those some convictions,...huh?! 1) Exponentially more production, across-the-board 2) Higher pricing as a generality 3) Lesser value, absolutely 4) Incompetent development/marketing/sales force 5) Not a single, fuhhh, given....with regard to customer/consumer input/feedback 6) Poo-poo constantly & consistently being flung in our faces "THANK YOU, SIR! MAY I HAVE ANOTHER"!! |

Two hits per box is definitely a big, blinking warning sign. This was the card set that brought me back into collecting, but it's slowly pushing me out now.
It really comes down to what is a "hit" and whether there will be fewer autographs per case overall. Rip cards, for me, don't really substitute for an autograph since they rarely return much than a random EXT card. I would assume that if every box was guaranteed an auto, they would have stated that, since that would have been a welcome change. What worries me is this line from Blowout's site: "Among early teasers for hits are autos, framed Relics, rip cards or vintage buybacks, "making every rip a journey through the weird, wild and wonderful." A vintage buyback could be anything, including common cards from the past 20 years, which they did during the 10th anniversary with foil-stamped cards from the first 9 years. Since I've had my share of "three napkin" Ginter boxes, I could live with one fewer napkin. But if this means that most boxes (75%) will now be "two napkin" boxes, then I think we can say that the 20th anniversary of Ginter is hardly worth celebrating. |
