Default Help Identifying a card

I saw this card at a local LCS today and picked it up for $2 simply because I have never seen it before and I can’t find listings of the same card. I do not believe it is a companion card and the number on the back is US169 like the original rookie debut, not a golden mirror, doesn’t feel or look like a fake card. I literally have no idea. Any insight is appreciated, I could be completely overlooking something.

Pretty sure it’s the companion card.

Yeah, I think the confusion may be that the companion cards are usually numbered "CTC-1", etc.

That is the confusion. I know companion cards usually have different numbering or say companion somewhere, but this one doesn’t

I think Costco had an earlier season box set with Series 1&2 and those companion cards used the regular CTC designation. They then had another version later in the season with Update cards, and with those they just went ahead and used the regular Update numbers for the companion cards which used different photos.

All of the 2024 Topps Update companion cards seem to have regular numbering.
