Ha - I thought the same thing - love this set, but nope...the mummy thing is a bit much.

Interested as this was the era of study in college.

But a company I have little faith in.

In for one.

Don’t trust it. For what’s supposedly included and how much they probably estimate to sell unless they think Egyptian cards are about to blow up, I think all these relics would make more being sold as is, and no company is giving these out for the love lol

Heck I have a pretty interesting beaded mummy shroud, as long as items clear the art loss register data base and are certified, I'm okay with preserving history.
It's not like in the Victorian era when they burned mummies as train fuel or unwrapped them at parties and ate parts of them.
And yes, I agree that company is terrible.

I've heard about mummy powder, but did they actual consume parts right off the unwrapped mummy?

I wonder if anyone back then could have predicted that the poor sap that just got entombed would end up as the hit in trading card boxes 1500 years later?

$75/piece — is this on par w/ the going rate for mummy parts?

Anyone know if this actually releases May 1st? I’m seeing the 22nd, as well.

Piece of Christian cloth cir 300-800 AD.

Piece of mummy relic from the Caren Collection.

The relic cards are nice. The base are meh.

Is it just a "basic" mummy or is there a name associated? Are they from the actual mummy on the card? Or is it like "the enclosed piece of mummy is not from a specific mummy, game or event"?

Piece of Christian cloth seems pretty generic. “Enjoy your Christian relic card featuring a piece of Bob the Lutheran’s tighty whiteys”

Have a pic of the relics? Are they the usual piece of something glued to a card or did they put more care into them this time?

They’re actually nice quality. The base card 1/1 was dinged up right out of the pack but I didn’t buy it for the base cards.

The relic on the right is under plastic, the mummy is open.
