Hey guys, that's a cutout quote from the other thread. What cards do you guys regret selling, or even regret not buying? In my case, I was offered an 86 Fleer Jordan RC for $600 about 10 years ago, and I chose not to bite.

Back around early 2004 maybe, I had bought up a collection of nice rookie QB's from the previous 10 or so years from a guy I had recently met at a show. I was mainly looking for Peyton Manning cards. At the time the lot included tons of Tom Brady cards. Before a card show in San Diego, I had a friend that was looking for Tom Brady cards (big Michigan guy) and I mentioned that I had a lot of them. So we worked out a deal for $40 or so for the entire lot (included all of the SPs, UDs, Playoffs, BC, Leaf, etc.). Didn't even flinch.
I still don't "regret" it because he was such a big fan and a good guy. But I often wish I had kept a few to grade. EDIT: Sorry, forgot this was the baseball thread.

1999 Upper Deck Victory Michael Jordan 1/1 parallel
I pulled it from a pack in 2001 and sold it in 2003 for a few hundred dollars. It is easily a 6 figure card right now. |

I wonder how many people on BO sold Ohtani in 2021 and are willing to admit in retrospect they regret selling?

I'm glad I was out of the hobby from 1995-2023, as no doubt I would have made tons of trades/sales of LeBrons/Kobes/MJs/Ohtanis etc I would greatly regret now.

86-87 Fleer set...for $1K in early 90's. Nothing will even come close, not just because I haven't sold much at all in 40+ years.

Pulled a Bobby Witt 22 Heritage High Red Ink Auto 7/73 (Jersey Number even) out of a case sometime late 2023 I think. Was going to hold but sold for $400 because the rest of the case was so bad. Or maybe the lot of (60) base Ohtani Rookies I sold for $300 2019ish.

I'm just glad I never sold my two pack pulled autos (clearly authentic black parallel and optic fotl black parallel) which eventually I turned into a Heritage Real One Auto Rookie

My exact same regret. Got a hand collated set at a flea market in '87 for $14 (same guy had boxes for $16). My dad was so mad I "wasted" so much money on cards. Kept it in a Ziploc bag and sold it for $1k in '91. Thought I won the lottery at the time. |

I really don’t regret selling anything as I never sell PC Cards unless they are doubles. The closest to regret is selling a topps chrome Ohtani rc autograph for 2,000 dollars but when said card was pulled out of a 20 dollar blaster it’s hard to be upset.

Bought a 2009 Bowman Draft Mike Trout Orange Ref Auto for $60 when the product first came out. Sold it a couple years later for about $700 before he went nuts.
Boom. Done. Will haunt me till the day I die.

My regret in baseball Acuna Bowman Raw Auto Base because I got that in the pack. I love sentimental value, but my biggest lost is Bowman Aaron Judge RC Auto BGS 9.5/10. Sold it when he was a strikeout machine in his rookie year, but in all no regrets because I'm still here.

I want one of those not because it is technically his first US card (I think), but due to the alternate spelling of his name.

I think I might have given a box with his cards away. The Name thing is triggering something in me.

I got into 2018 Black & White well after the fact in like 2022 to where I completed the sepia set. I bought my first set without parallels and later reached out to the guy I bought it from. He said from all the sets he bought, he pulled the Ohtani true color 1/1 auto and had sold it for $1500.

No regrets on selling the #1 Ohtani RC PSA set in 2021, but we are getting very, very, very, very, very, very close with today's prices.
