Ebay variation listing problem

Not sure if there has been a change, but listings that have previously allowed to create variations (U Pick kind of things) now give a message that the category is not eligible for variations.

I tried all kinds of different trading card categories without luck. Any idea what I'm running into?

I do a lot of variation listings so this is of interest to me. I started to create a listing under “trading card singles” and everything is working as usual. I suspect you are selecting a category that does not allow variations. I’ve asked eBay to start allowing pocket schedules and ticket stubs to be listed in variation listings and never got a response.
