The end of Panini's football product calendar

Do we think that Panini's final NFL licensed product has been announced? Ie. Prizm Black and Silhouette are the last releases of the era? That would mean that a few notable products would have been skipped for 2025. Prestige and Contenders stand out. Any others?

Contenders is coming. Just hasn't been formally announced. But know a player that finished his 7000 stickers a month or so ago and got the Contenders preview cards along with his package.

Also if basketball is any indication, it seems they're going to continue doing some level of unlicensed product.

After watching a the annual 200 box sB break and, basically, absolutely ZERO top QB autos, near zero HOFer big name QB, WR, RB autos... it's been a joke for a decade. It's been beyond ridiculous watching Ohtani, Judge, Griffey Jr., Elly, top HOFers and whoever else you can think of - being pulled out of MLB boxes of cards for years. What the actual heck is in NFL boxes? 12 Brady autos, per year, in one product? About 100 Mahomes autos spread out across who knows what? Leftover clearance sale dumpster jerseys of who knows who, chopped up with no tie(s) to the player(s) on the card.

Less than 60 days until this nightmare is over.

Have to agree here. I've been counting the days until Topps comes back. I don't buy sealed product and only buy singles. I've yearned for Topps since they lost the license, although 2015 Flagship and Chrome was an absolutely abysmal design.

Fanatics is very far from perfect, but it’ll still be much better than Panini. The people who most unhappy with Fanatics are the people who are the most unhappy with the current state of the hobby in general: wax rippers. Unfortunately there is no quick fix to make them happy.

Part of me is wondering if the player I mentioned above got it mixed up. Said he signed 7k for Panini but I’ve seen absolutely none of his autos in any product to this point, so wondering if that was Topps. Either that or they’re going to Instant/box set some of this stuff like they keep pumping.

So Topps is getting Panini's license- what about the rights to the names of cards like 'Select' 'Prizm' 'Contenders' 'Obsidian' etc. Does Panini remain the rights to the names of those products and the designs? Or Will those products continue to come from Panini, just unlicensed?
