Patrick Ewing 1997 Topps Finest cut glass card

I got stumped on a 90's NBA piece, and thought you guys could help potentially

This came out of a master Ewing collection, almost every card, including errors and proofs. It is possible this was homemade, but out of the many thousands of cards with no duplicates, it would be the only piece as far as I know.

The card is cut from glass, not acetate, and I have heard of glass being used in production proof but I have never actually seen one. Curious on thoughts and insights, thanks guys

I've never heard of or seen anything even remotely similar to that. I'd guess it's homemade but why someone would go through the trouble is beyond me
