The Packfractor is an interesting concept, but I don't like the design. Topps should use the year the player was born for the wrapper design - McGonigle's would be 2004.

I've seen multiple people say use the year that player was born...if they did that they would have to change the design and numbering for EVERY player. Topps/fanatics ain't putting that much work/effort into it!

It didn't stop them from using different countries' flags in the backgrounds of each players' International parallels though, did it? Look at last year.

Jaypers, I cant think of any of the top of my head but out of the top prospects who are we missing with chrome autos? Not counting the 25 draftees who might pop in here.

Only one I can think of is Florentino and maybe Early, but maybe he gets a RC

Was just speculating who is out there that doesnt have an auto yet, not asking for your sources.

Even though I am curious what Ben Badler is like in real life.

Changing the background is just one part (and probably the easier part). These cards are numbered /89 since they have the 1989 wrapper on them. I think if each player needed a different numbering amount that would probably be considerably harder. Unless they just made them all to a flat /XXX amount that wasn't related to the wrapper shown.

I don't mind them all being #d the same. I just think that wrapper looks cheesy.

Their designer appears to be stuck on repeat. I can't tell these apart from any of the other Bowman Chrome years.

Yeah, we're on a 4 year stretch of very, very similar looking releases. At least with like 2020-2021-2022 they did slightly different things, but they've gone into pretty much the same style of border every year now.

All creative energies are currently being channeled into new parallel ideas. Fanatics won't rest until we have 200 different versions of the same card.

If correct, that is a step in the right direction. 2025 Bowman had 105 prospect autos.

11 repeat signers is a yawn, but I guess Id rather get a Cam Schlittler 2nd auto than the Rays 24th rounder.

We do now. Checklist Link is below. Hope you've got good eyesight - this brings new meaning to the term "fine print".

Do we really need a third Konnor Griffin prospect auto, Topps? Just save him for BC later this year as a RC auto!

Only 39 of the prospect autos have Packfractor parallels, which would have made it even easier for Topps to use the wrapper for each prospect's birth year, rather than make them all that silly 1989 design. Sheesh.
