Ichiro-200 hits this year?

Ichiro is having a rough year and only has 117 hits right now. He needs 83 hits in 54 games to get to 200. Do you think he can keep his streak alive?

maybe but he need to have good games like 3-4 and 2-4 games maybe it depends

He's made some late runs at it before so I wouldn't put it past him.

He also has by far the lowest fielding percentage of his career. As his biggest fan, time for some reverse psychology.

I think Ichiro is LOSING IT

I'm going to take the under. I hope its just an off year and he has 3 or 4 more 200 hit years left in him.

With how good pitching has been for the last 2-3 yrs, I am not surprised to see it catching up with some of these guys.

Im a major Mariners fan and Ive thought about Ichi having a 200 hit season this year alot the past 2 months or so and dont think he will.

Ichiro is losing it, and its sad a bit to be a Ms fan if things havent been bad already.

Fielding percentage is essentially useless. Range can actually be detrimental as you can reach plays (that others can't) that have a lesser chance of making them. Heck, you could stand STILL and only get sure things to have a perfect fielding percentage. UZR, +/-, etc. are all better.

If there's one single hitter in the majors now that could pull something off like this, it's him. There's a singularly unique quality about him -- something that bridges age and talent.

While it's a huge feat, and while I'll give him props if he pulls it off -- I just won't be surprised.

I wasn't surprised at what Mr.Maddux accomplished,either.

If you go for a decade plus putting up the numbers that he did, your eventually going to have to come down to earth.

It will be tough for ICHIRO. I wish he would go to a contender ...a team that has a good chance of the playoffs.

I can't see him making it. He's lost a step and isn't getting enough infield hits. Plays that he used to barely beat out are outs, plays that used to be bang bang outs and now him being thrown out by a step. Fielders aren't even rushing like they used to and making hurried throws nearly as much.
