My NFL HOF & Future HOF Autograph Collection

Well, it has been a while since I really worked on keeping my old thread up on here, so I figured I would show off my current NFL HOF Autograph PC. The first two links I'm posting are the folders containing all those that are in my Current NFL HOF Autograph PC and the other will be my prospects of those that are either certain or at least have a shot at making the NFL HOF in the future.

Here are some of the highlights of my PC:

Well, nothing new today, but got a few pieces while I was at work for 40 hours the two days before. lol

First, a little investment just incase...you know how that goes...



Then 3 very nice upgrades...I guess the Gatski isn't much of an upgrade, but just a nicer looking cut and included in a deal I could not pass up.

Well, another day, another load of HOFers and future HOFers. lol. Expect quite a few updates this week as I have quite a bit coming in.

We'll start off with Baseball...? Yes Baseball...Why? Because I used to own this exact card...and sold it to help pay for a Walter Payton on card auto...and I just got it back from my friend for a little cash and silver:



Now then...moving on to football...we will start out with the most expensive card in this mailday...and it's a future HOFer. He's only recently started signing more, but this is, by far, his best autograph out there, that I know of:



And last, but certainly not least...the three current HOFers...2 new...1 upgrade, including the very first of this year's on card Class of 2011 autograph set:







Very happy to pick up that last guy! Been after him for ages...and been keeping in touch with a seller on ebay as I knew he had a full signature Earl "Dutch" Clark and finally bought it. And he even has another HOFer on hold for me. Being friendly is a good thing! lol

Wow!! Great collection, I'm also working on the HOF as well, but trying to get the rookie cards instead of what you're going for. Collecting HOFers will never get boring as there will always be more of them and you can always pass them on to your kid(s) or someone else in the future to continue it!! Good luck!!

Thanks, man! Been a long project so far and certainly only going to get harder, but half the fun is finding what you need. I am looking at RCs now and then, but not pushing hard for them...even including my first good pick-up today.

So, we'll start with said RC...of Mean Joe Green:



Now I rarely do this, but I picked up two HOF autographs as trade bait. Well...one meant to be...the other I wasn't quite as happy with it as I thought I would be, so keeping my current and putting this Tarkenton out there for trade:





And now for two upgrades...first a nice Blanda jersey/auto...and finally a Deion Sanders solo. I am still looking to get the Sanders from Timeless Treasures though!

Just two new little additions. There are a few other cards that could be included, but these are pretty much the main two:

First off...a very nice Future HOFer. I ended up snagging a second one for a good deal, so one of these might be available...but only for other future HOFers and current HOFers:



Now...the other Lewis isn't here yet, but here is a very nice patch/auto upgrade for my PC. The other I had was a nice patch/auto, but this is a much nicer one, in my opinion:

Got one more addition for the day...probably a few more on Thursday after work and I get back from visiting my girlfriend:

Things will start to slow a little, but still have a few more nice pieces incoming, but a few nice pieces from yesterday.

First, we'll start with that other Ray Lewis I was talking about. Like I said, love the patch on this one a bit better, but the auto on the other...decisions, decisions:



Now we have a very nice upgrade. Been after one like this for a while and finally got a reasonable price:



And FINALLY one that I have been after FOREVER!! He is getting up there in age and this is his only certified autograph...very happy to finally snag me a Dan Rooney!

A few more pick-ups...sadly things are going to slow down again unless I run across stuff for my Timeless Treasures HOF set. All future HOFers...one upgrade, two new ones...all good stuff!

Well, my last few pieces of mail. We have two nominees for the HOF this year, both in their first year of eligibility...and one current HOF. I have a few other nice pieces coming in and another I'm watching, but here is what I have gotten in for now:

Been a while since I have posted anything...got 3 new additions...two upgrades and one possible future. I have more incoming of course.

First, a nice cut of Flaherty...unsure yet which one I am officially going to make my PC piece, but right now leaning towards this one:



Then a nice 2 color George Blanda. Been after one of these for a while...and finally happy with this as my final Blanda.



And lastly, one of the only two players from the 20's all decade team that has not made the HOF yet. Not sure if he ever will, but figure he has a shot...and it's his only auto:

Well, got 3 cards in...but only 2 go here...and even one of those is iffy. lol. But the one that belongs here is one I've been after for a looong time.

I'll start off with a long shot for the HOF. He has been nominated this year, but not sure he'll really make it...at least not for quite a long time. Not with so many WR that should be in still sitting on the outside looking in:



Then...there is this guy. His autos have become more and more rare as it seems people are hanging onto him more (not to mention people over-valuing it.) Glad I was finally able to snag one...and for right around the price they should go for...not the 300-400 people thought they should get for it:

And here is #223 for the NFL HOF Auto PC! (Not the best auto, but hoping to find a nicer one in the future.)



#224 is going to be paid for Thursday...and looks like no #225 yet...went for WAY beyond what I could afford. lol.

Finally time for a little update. Been a while, but figured I'd let a few things come in first.

And finally, HOFer #224...Pete Rozelle!!



I sort of have #225...but that will have to wait due to a little issue that is being resolved. lol

Thanks guys. Thinks are slowing to a crawl, so I'm starting to work on the future HOFers just to be prepared. lol.

And I am certainly scared, raiderguy. lol. You always seem to find the nice stuff I need. I had to actually miss out on all your PSA/DNA extras you had up because I went after the two Jim Finks autos...lost both. FML.
