As per my last knicks post, they desperately needed some size, rebounding n a guy who blocks shots n can jump and now they got em. Tyson is perfect for them. Now we have a nice big front court. However, i would have been cool if after signing tyson, they sent amare for cp3. As much as i love amare, he and melo don't fit together, which is clear. Not enough basketballs to go around. Ya know who'd be perfect...David lee baby! He could fly around n get all the ofeensive boards w tyson. Steph is dope n would be the perfect shooting guard for this team. Tke knicks should offer amare and fields (who i like) for d lee and steph curry...Let's rebuild this team n start the run to a knicks champoinship...

the warriors aren't trading david lee, and curry for amare & fields..... never happen...... that's a way lopsided trade in the knicks favor.... lee is a beast and curry soon will be also. fields is an average player and amare is great, but not really elite.

i hear ya. I was so pissed when they got rid of lee He was by far their best player n a completely underrated player who was improving since the day they got him..Amare is awesome but not elite. He and melo just don't fit . I'm a knicks fan n i hate to say that, but I'm being honest. Regardless, the current team with n if they get tyson can take the celts now for sure.. Not sure who's playing the point cause tony douglas couldn't guard his own shadow. Bring back d lee lol

Wait, i wouldn't mind seeing that lol It would be payback for all the b.s. he and his teamates got away w when they played the knicks...

if you wouldn't trade lee & curry for amare, you don't know jack about basketball bro....... lee is a grunt player and fits perfect with the exact needs of the knicks, and curry would sure up the back court..... this would improve the knicks IMMEDIATELY...... it would make they team way more solid than just having amare, who doesn't even work well with melo in the first place. nothing is outlandish about that at all, alot of people just think they know it all with zero research and knowledge of basketball...... i'll welcome you to that club.

Whoever thinks Curry+Lee>STAT has got it wrong.
The Knicks need NASH! YEA I SAID IT NASH. He can give guidance to Douglas and keep the seat warm for when they make a move for Deron! After this season expect Phil Jackson to make a comeback and coach the knicks or if the lakers get Kobe/CP3/Howard he will come back Last edited by XARZY; 12-08-2011 at 08:50 PM. |

There is no way the Knicks would trade Amare for those 2 players, none the less add Fields to the deal.

who lied to ya'll and told ya'll amare was this great player? he's good, but lets come back down to reality, curry and lee together is a way better situation for a team like the knicks than amare is. amare and melo on the knicks are like having 2 of the same non defense playing players, that score alot but cancel each others huge scoring totals out a bit.

I think that the Knicks would never trade Amar'e for those two. I love Stephen Curry, but as a kid who started out watching the Knicks when they were garbage and had Quentin Richardson starting, I liked David Lee because he stood out from everybody else with his rebounding and mid-range jumper. After saying that, I have to say that watching him back down in the paint against players like Amar'e was very exhausting. Stephen Curry I've wanted since the draft, but I think that Tyson Chandler is a much better option over David Lee. Amar'e is not the greatest defender, but when he gets motivated, he shows flashes of being good. His scoring is amazing, and he has a better mid-range jumper than Lee. With Tyson Chandler on this team I believe it will take the defensive pressure off of Amar'e, and let him focus on his offense even more. With him in the prime of his career, a great defender with him in the backcourt, and an outstanding scorer that he can pass to, I think Amar'e could really bolster this team to making it past the first round of the playoffs.

Learn to read or atleast start by learning to write your 'rediculous' remarks correctly! lol There has been talks in Phoenix about a possible Nash trade to the Knicks. I heard this from phoenix fans. The Phil Jackson comment is from numerous rumors through out the end of the season discussing the possibility of Phil coming back to a stacked team, NY being the primary candidate. I mentioned the possibility of him coming back to the Lakers if there was a big 3. BTW these 'theories' weren't serious. If you think that REALISTICALLY PJ would come back out of retirement then who would it be to? Doesn't mean its gonna happen though. |

Amar'e killed it in the Knicks when he was healthy and out of Technical Foul trouble. 2010 Amar'e broke Knicks records and carried the team as a CENTER. He got into Technical Foul trouble and had to tone down his defense and while playing the Lakers and Celtics towards the end of his 30+ points in consecutive games record setting run got beat on. In 2011 he had back problems which limited his presence and performance.

Bottom line, amare is great n had a great year. My point was simply that i think david lee n steph curry wuld be perfect fits for the knicks w tyson chandler "now" on the team. Also the reason for trading amare is not cause he stinks, rather because you could get 1 or more really good players who could FIT the knicks, cause like both myself n qwasian mentioned, melo n amare don't fit particularly well together. The knicks have noone at the point, no shooting guard and it's time to go back to defense n rebounding to supplement their # 1 scoring option which is CARMELO. If you surround him with the other parts n youv'e got yourself a team which can eventually compete and make a run at the championship. It wasn't intended to knock any players. You cant build a team of stars, especially when the rest of the team is missing key parts and expect a guarenteed championship as we have learned (miami). The celts won cause they had 3 stars at the right positions AND had great parts that FIT there team. It's time for the knicks to start building this team the right way and put the right parts in place. Then again, this is just my opinion. I'm not some HOF genius GM like isaih thomas who blew up n "attempted" to DESRTROY, i mean rebuild n lead the knicks to glory. OOPS! Let's go knicks!
