Topps SBL Namath Auto - Update

Some of you may remember the hullabaloo about my Namath Auto and them sending me the 1/1 instead.

Well, I got confirmation that my Namath Auto shipped today. I will post a picture when I get it.

That was part of it. But they also told me that I wouldn't get the Auto.

Once I tested the waters on Ebay, I determined it was about a $250-$350 sale value. I figure the auto will be the same, if not more. The other problem is that....if I sold it, then Topps would track it down and cause problems that way with the buyer, Paypal, who knows.

It's not a Ruth Cut and it just wasn't worth the trouble. I also thought that Topps would throw me a bone for doing the right thing....that never happened.

I am going to go with no penny sleeve and no toploader... they will just tape a decoy directly to the card... with duct tape.

Top load that's too big for the card so it'll slip out. That's how my other die cuts were mailed.

But the 1/1 was in a mag holder so I'm hoping they do the same with the Autos.

Don't forget the tape across the top of the top loader so when the card slides around, it'll get stuck to the tape. All the cards I got from the Gridiron Giveaway last year, had tape across the top of the loaders.
