Default 07/08 ITG Heroes and Prospects

Anyone else thinking about busting this? I'm thinking about 2 cases (figuring that should get me a full base set or really close (40 base gu jsy's which given the odds, I'm guessing will be about 1:box). With it coming about Dec. 13, thinking that could also help it (or hurt sales?)

Suggestions/ideas?

2 cases? You're in for a ton of work with the base cards if you do two cases. Just a note, if you sell the redemption points, sell them in a lot of 250....that will get you the most because that is how many points you need for the redemption card.

Actually I was figuring on redeeming them...2 cases gets me 40 pts short of 4 of the redemption cards...figured I could get the extra 40 from someone on here. Figured I could get the base sets done in 2 days if I take that thurs. and friday off from work....just not sure how sales would go. Think the rookie class should hold its own...just not sure and hoping for input.

If I remember, the base sets sell OK.

I've never done ITG H&P. How is it ? I was thinking about the new Superlative Hockey thats supposed be coming out. Seems pricey but sounds very interesting.

I've only done it box by box, and normally only one box of a product just to try it (I'm also a sucker for their super boxes). Just hoping someone one here has tried either a case or done ITG on a normal basis. I know UD has a hockey release 1 day before this is supposed to come out...but other than that hockey doesnt have much coming out until then. Figured this could be a good shot at getting some of the hotter rookie prospect cards out on on the bay. If anyone was actually looking for an xmas present, there'd be time to get it to them too.

Anyone got any insight on this. Might be forced to check the dark side.

Thoughts on how their auto's might sell? Seems like most of the rookies have auto's in it. Anyone breaking a box of two, so I've got an idea on how many people I might be able to trade with to finish of base/team sets?

Just got my order sheet in the mail today and ITG is saying that they are producing less boxes than last year with more content ....
You now get 2 Memorabilia cards per 20 packs and a Autograph every 16 packs so with 24 packs a box you will have some boxes having 4 hits ...
Cards # 101-140 will be the next Memorabilia cards and these will be jumbo sized jersey cards ..... look to be large pieces of jersey -- should make for some nice multi-color pieces ....
It says 1 decoy or memorabilia card per pack but does'nt say specifically if they're still doing the redemption point program .... gonna have to check their website I guess ...

Cards look nice and they've redone the base set design...

Gonna give this one some thought --- might be a decent product ..just gotta checkover the checklist ...

Actually I just took a quick look on the ITG website and this looks like a pretty nice release ..... they've got a few pics of the gu/autos ....

The swatches on some of the game-used cards are Huge ----

The worst part is that I'm not that familiar with some of these young guys but they've got a decent mix of familiar names in there as well ...
The Autographs also include some current NHL stars which is really nice ...

and yes the redemption points program IS included as well this year ....

if you recall when this product debuted in 04-05 it was sweet and produced to decent levels. ITG really shot themselves in the foot with the multiple series release in 05-06, they heard it from collectors as well. Since last years product was certainly so-so, they are looking to make it up to us puckheads with a decent effort. This product really cant miss if indeed produced at reasonable levels........

I have done this before and, like everything else, it is good for one day and then bye bye. You will need to get all your stuff listed asap if you do it. I personally would not do it just b/c December is so flooded with other products.

What I have no idea on, though, is whether the players listed on this checklist are any good or not. Anyone know the answer to that?

Default ITG Prospects

Nice list of Autos on their checklist: Pietrangelo (will be a first round pick),A. Esposito,B. Ryan, B. Little, Hodgson, Skille, Dudas,Tavaras,Bernier, Beach, Irving, Kane, Mueller, Matthias, Stamkos(will also be a first round pick this year)plus the Hero Autos and it is a nice product. But then you add in their Base cards and Game-Used Memorabilia.Huge list of Game-Used Memorabilia(check on their website). You will be getting cards of tomorrows stars today!
