Default When do bidders usually bid on ebay?

Just looking to get some opinions on more knowledgeable sellers. Ive sold a lot on ebay but mostly used the BIN/BO format

I finally just decided to list all my remaining cards on ebay and not to happy with the results. I could just be over reacting theres still like 5 days yet but im getting nervous that they will not sell at proper prices

Most bidding will take place in the last 10 minutes. I know it sucks to be selling something with an hour left and it is nowhere near the price you want. Unless you are ending it at an unusual time, it usually.works out fine.

Personally I think if you start your auctions at .99 you can get bids throughout the duration of the auction. If you start at a price you are looking to get for the card you may not see a bid until the last few minutes or seconds. Sometimes if it's not a desireable item you get the .99 bid with 3 seconds left. lol. Anything goes in an auction.

I will bid a minimum amount sometimes to make sure I remember to bid. Then I will put my snipe bid in about 3 seconds before the auction ends.

Other times, I will snipe from the beginning, no bids until about 3 seconds.

I do not get into a bidding "war" if I am outbid in the first case, I factor that into my snipe.

If I am outbid in the second, I am SOL and should have sniped higher. Just have to watch out for a sellers best friend 2 snipes who both put in ridiculously high bids thinking it guarantees them a win the run into each other. That is how $50 cards sell for $125 sometimes.

Agree that most bidders don't bid until the last 5-10 mins of the auction, especially since the 'watch' function is available. I typically 'watch' an item, then bid as the auction is starting to close.

My guess is never (I kid), it's just the bitterness that every time I put something up for auction I get on my knees for a never-ending reaming. With snipes, a large number of bidders dont ever bid till the very end of the listing.

Agree with everyone. I've lost so many items because I would have the top bid for a while then someone always comes in the last couple mins or seconds even and wins. Worst time was when I was bidding on the terrelle pryor black friday auto /10 ..

High end cards people will bid at the last second usually. Sometimes depending on who bids some buyers like to incrementally bid to make it look like seller has a person shilling their auction...

Other than that it is not the best time to sell and some buyers may be focused on other sports or activities and not in front of their computer this time of year.

the newbs and dumb*sses who wont pay usually bid early, the real bidders and others who won't pay will bid last minute. sniping programs are great for buyers but bad for sellers as you are feeling it now.

This! - love the backers thinking

my last 2 auctions I have one non payment (when I looked up the 2 bidders it was the same exact buyers name under 2 different ID's) and one soon to be non payment, newbie w/0 feedback and I swear to g*d I saw his name show up on here to block but i cannot find anything on it. Both were last minute bids

I always snipe with about 4 seconds left. I use Jbidwatcher, set it and forget it. I used to just immediately do that and rely on ebay proxy bidding, but I kept noticing obvious shilling going on. So now I snipe like everyone else.

Anything at more than $0.99, I wait until the last four seconds...prevents me from being shilled and it's gonna get sniped anyway.

I always use Gixen and I do donate the $6 per year to use their double mirror service (they send your snipe from sepereate servers). I have great success with them.

Default bidding!

Bidding before the final 5 seconds is for newbs... the only exception would be if you are trying to wipe away a BIN price.

If people are watching the auction, the money will come.

Now that is just wrong... I may use it in the future, but wrong none the less.
