Default Running auctions and then stating that it was a mistake....

I recently won a 2011 Topps Brees superfractor on the bay--great card. After the auction and payment the seller tells me that the card is no longer available. I have little patience for this. I can understand it a little better on buy it now's, but an auction? Card has been up for 3+days.....I smell a rat.

I have to be honest I have been guilty of this. I thought I had a card and listed it. Turns out my inventory wasn't updated prior to listing. After it was paid for I had to tell them my mistake. I replaced it with an even better card to make up for my mistake.

I really wish Top Rated sellers could have their own search engine within Ebay to separate the experience between new sellers (and bad sellers) and more consistent sellers.

There seems to be a lot of junk by the sellers (i dealt with one recently) lately that make it a shame. Ebay could be a great place to do business, make money and get what you want, but stories like this keep negatively effecting it, which ultimately leads to Ebay raising costs on things. A dang shame...

Could be shady, I listed a dustin pedroia moments and milestones red 1/1 and a guy bought it for 45 bucks and paid, when I went to ship it I could not find it anywhere. I ended up refunding him and within two days found it and shipped it to him for free. Maybe its a honest mistake but who knows anymore

Agree 100%. Most of my experiences are great, it seems that to some, integrity doesn't mean a thing.

He states he sold it to someone else and forgot to remove it from Ebay.

Considering same seller was selling that at $1600 OBO before he ran the auction, I'm guessing he grossly over values the card and wasn't happy with the auction price.

I've contacted him before and that's clearly true. It's definitely seller's remorse.
