Default Clay Matthews Exquisite Question on Corners?

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

I know my second thread asking opinions, trying to do a little shopping . Guys I have wanted one of these for ages. Talked to Seller, great guy and willing to work on the price. I just want someone else to look at the upper corners the left in particular. It looks like it sticks out farther than the border edges, is it my tired eyes or is someone else seeing this? Thanks and hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Kevin

Thanks to zoom on my iPad, the card appears to mint.

White showing on the top left corner, back of card, but looks to be the only ding.

What about the 2 top corners on the zoom do they look ok or do they look odd like sticking out more than the edge?

Not that I can see, but there is some shadowing going on. I do see white on the top left corner on the back of the card. If there are any other flaws, I would need a better scan to see them.

Thanks, yeah scan is a bit fuzzy. I guess my concern was trimming to take off a chipped edge. I look at the photo of the back and see the border on the bottom looks thicker on the right but gets thin on the left side. Are all like this or is it trimmed or flawed?

I think it would be damn hard to trim a card like exquisite without totally screwing it up. '09 is really condition sensitive set..

If you are buying to grade it, don't bother. Even if the corners are fine, the centering is not.

Not grading it. Exquisite is too tough. Good news is found a photo of another Exquisite on COMC. Same issue with border on reverse bottom and upper corners.

2009 Exquisite Collection Rookie Silver Holofoil #109 - Clay Matthews AU/25 - CheckOutMyCards.com

Hopefully I can get this to add to my other Clay cards. Thanks for all the Help!

I would pick up the /25 if you can regardless of its condition, it's easily his best RC and the highest BGS graded Exquisite Matthews /99 or /25 is only a 9 so pretty much all are going to have some type of issue. Hope you can add either one to your collection, both are sweet!

Yeah condition will always have some issues, aware of that. Also agree that getting the /25 would be best as you cannot improve on that one, its the best!
