Just recently got into opening non-sport stuff and I think I am hooked already.

This is when it started to get good

and I think it got even better

Pretty excited I hit the auto in the very first pack and the invasion sketch in the last pack

Take another look, he isn't talking about the sketch of the flame thrower, he's talking about the last sketch that looks almost exactly like the base card "The Invasion Begins".

So, just curious as I haven't bought any of this set. Did a lot of the artists make sketches similar to base cards?

many artists based their sketches off of cards from the set i think it would make them more desirable as well being based off cards from set
