Teens were glued to their TV sets on Saturday May 2nd when Disney Channel premiered their new original series, JONAS. Starring music sensations The Jonas Bros., the plot revolves around a group of brothers in a mega-popular rock band. • The Jonas series premiere ratings nearly quadrupled that of its nearest time period competitor (Nick’s Fairly Odd Parents movie) with girls 9-14 (+273%, 9.7 vs 2.6).
• Jonas delivered double and triple digit rating increases across all the key demos including kids 6-11 (+100%), tweens 9-14 (+141%), girls 6-11 (+137%), girls 9-14 (+194%), boys 6-11 (+44%), and boys 9-14 (+75%) compared to the prior four-week time period average.
• Jonas grew significantly in rating from its Hannah Montana lead-in with kids 6-11 (+40%) and tweens 9-14 (+55%).
