Default Sick card but does the Autograph Ruin it?

1 1 Yogi Berra 2007 Topps Sterling Game Worn Jersey "K" Patch Auto Yankees WOW | eBay
I feel like the autograph completely ruins this card, both in look and in value. If it was meant to be signed then topps would have had yogi sign it. I doubt it's more then a $100-200 card now where as before close to double that being a 1/1 and you never see his patch letters.

Not to me. I think it looks good and don't see how the auto attached does anything but increase it's appeal which would increase it's value. As a purist I see your point but that argument goes out the window the second you cut up the relic in the first place which I am completely against.

ugh, that kills it for me. if they were going to keep it, by all means go ahead but if you're just doing it to flip, forget it.

Yea the patch itself is weird as well. It would have looked alot better with the rest of the uniform with it. The signature would have also looked even better with the full patch in place.

The whole card looks like crap. The "K" looks like something a 5 year old cut from his mom's Hobby Lobby supplies.

I wouldn't mind the autograph, but in my opinion, it's ruined with the COA sticker on the back. I guess it does verify the auto, but still.

an LOA from JSA or PSA would have been better if they want to go that route.

The auto is better than the K in it.

The "K" looks that because it was mangled from game play not because Topps butchered it. Also it was probably sewn on a few different jerseys before finding its final resting place on the Berra uniform. Players back then used the same jersey for at least a season if not more, unlike today's players who are likely not even wearing the same jersey they started the game with. All that being said, the moron who decided the best way to insert the patches for the card was to detach the letters and add the auto should be banned for life from ever designing another card product. Either that or hung, I can't decide .

Why not leave the hunk of jersey attached around the K? Auto doesn't bother me, think it's cool myself.
