Default BGS grades finally popped...

Well...they finally popped up. 2 day service and it shows received on 10/18, deadline 10/30 ---> makes sense.

Cousins NT RAP Gold /25 9.5/10 (pop 4)

Muhammad Ali Master Collection Auto Robe/Trunks 9/10(pop 1...only 1 9.5 as well)

Kevin Durant Skybox PMG Red 9 (pop 5, highest grade)

Mayo/Love/Westbrook Multi Marks Triple Auto 9.5/9(pop 3, highest grade). Special thanks to Mayo for signing off his sticker.

04/05 Julius Erving Inkscriptions Dr. J 9.5/10(pop 1 highest grade)

04/05 Lebron James Inkscrpitions 04' ROY 9/10(pop 3 highest grade)

Michael Jordan Extra Exquisite Jersey Dual 8.5(pop 1 highest grade). Do I crack this or keep it as is? It's only an 8.5, but being the highest one graded in a condition sensitive set do you think it'll bring any kind of premium?(not that I plan on selling it soon).

Those are the highlights. Overall I'm pretty happy even with the 9s, because they are in such condition sensitive sets. Now I just hope everything gets back to me safely. Will really make it worthwhile if BGS gives me grading vouchers or lets this submission go through for free as they should for taking 12 days on a 2 day order.

nice grade.

Personally I would put a Minimum 9.5 grade on all my submissions. I rather leave anything less than a 9.5 raw.

I put a minimum 9 on all of them, figured at worst a 9 would be even value. I guess they ignored my "Min Grade 9" written on the submission form next to every card since the MJ got an 8.5.

I personally don't like a min grade...how do you know what's wrong with it if you get that? If it's .5 from 9.5, you won't know (or .5 from 9, etc). You can always crack and keep raw if you aren't happy with the label/grade.

I usually check with the Min grade not met sticky that comes back with the card. If they indicate more than 1 circle or various spots, noway its getting a 9.5. If its 1 spot and I check to see its 50/50, id probably just resubmit if the card is worth it.

And Fraser, I have no clue by BGS does grade them eventho you put Min 9 on it. Ive been in group subs where it was markered on the Card saver as Min 9.5 and they still graded the cards and slabbed them for not being 9.5

a) i hate panini with blinding force, but that is a really good sign on the quality of their packaging if a big /25 pull already has 4 9.5's - especially a big /25 pull that is a patch auto

b) id keep the jordan encased. it might make the card more attractive to some, and if i a persepctive buyer is going to throw down for a premium-level card like that and DOESNT want the grade, they will know enough to crack it.

This is true....I really thought it would get a 9. Corners got an 8, I've seen(and owned) cards with much worse corners get a 9 sub on them. subs are 9.5, 9.5, 9, and a big ole ugly 8. Even if it could've snagged an 8.5, it would've gotten a 9.

Those corners are beat to hell! /rolleyes/

Their number isn't working right now, so I haven't gotten through to anyone yet.

Also curious as to why they sent it back registered mail(of course there is no tracking uploaded yet) when I specified 6000 worth of insurance and I'm pretty sure USPS wont insure more than 5000.

Anything over $3000 is shipped via registered, below $3000 its fedex. I learned that the hard way and my overnight shipping became a 2 week headache because of USPS and their #@#@#@#@#@#@#@#@ registered crap.

Whenever you submit an exquisite expect a low grade on the corners, even when they look tack sharp. Which is why sometimes an 8.5 is acceptable. 8.5 Exquisite is closer to a 9-9.5 on a regular sized card. Still a great grade

The ship over 3000 registered since usps will let you insure up to 25k for registered packages. Plus it cost very little compaired to UPS and Fedex for the insurance. Not that Beckett gives you a break on the shipping cost. If I had to guess the postage price on yours will be around 40 bucks.

How does this min 9 requirement works? If the card doesnt meet min 9, they wont grade it anymore and mark it as authentic instead?

Also, if i may ask, this is my first time to send to bgs grading with the manual form, i sent it thru express insured. I check the status now and it says "noticed left (no authorized recipient available)." what does this mean? Nobody's around to receive the cards?

I selected the 10day service. When does the counting start? And will they email me when grading is done and package shipped out already? Do they email me the trackig number? I chose fedex ground shipping since return address is just CA. Thanks in advance.

You can select that the card must be a Min 9, they just encase it without a grade and you will get an Auto grade as well as a blue sticker.Pretty much worthless IMO. I rather they send it back raw.

Beckett was closed at the delivery time.

Count 11 days from the day they receive it
