Default Low end vs high end

Hey guys, could you help me out. Think I got a good idea but could someone distinguish for me the differences between low end and high end and mid range cards. I get the difference between something like National Treasures vs retail but where do all the 100-150$ boxes fit?

if you're talking strictly about products and not individual cards, then the $100-$150 boxes would for the most part land in the 'mid-range' bracket.

low end is gonna stuff like score or base topps where you get a ton of cards, pretty good price point but not much bang.

the bulk of products out there I'd say fall into the mid-range and its a pretty wide range.

I would put stuff like Rookies and Stars and Gridiron Gear toward the low end of that bracket. Stuff like Contenders and Chrome in the middle and then stuff like Limited, Absolute and Triple Threads toward the top of the mid-range.

Then the high end will be stuff like Five Star, NT and Exquisite.

hope this helps

High end can be any kind of card that's worth 50 to infinity dollars. Higher end products are five star, national treasures, exquisite. Panini try's to put higher price point products out lately like momentum and black but the roi is minimal. Alot consider /1 /5 /10 to be hind end however a lot has to do with the player.hope this helps.

This years five star will be the best roi of the year IMO. There are too many good rookies and if you followed exquisite you should know how cam prices did. I would expect each rg3, luck and Wilson to get almost 700 each. So if you have 500 I would hold it for that. Break early to be the firsts on ebay

It depends, if you mean singles...I have bought cards from NT and 5 star for less then $5 shipped. I don't know if I consider that high end, maybe the product is, but not the card itself.

Talking about products..NT & Five Star are the two that come to mind. Anything else is mid end and low end is normal Topps, Score, stuff like that.

To me (talking singles):

$1-24 low-end
$25-99 mid-end
$100+ high-end

But while mid range is $100 -$150 it is possible to pull a high end card out of there.

Gotcha. Thanks guys. I was away from collecting for years, but really enjoyed the hobby back in the mid to late nineties. I have put a couple sets together recently, and am really starting to get back into it. I have never traded or sold any cards, so this is new to me. I'm looking forward to learning from you guys and hopefully getting the nerve up to trade. The problem is to this point, other than Michael Jordan, I've really never PC'd anyone/any team. I' going to put a bunch of stuff in my bucket and possibly try trading first. Again, thanks

High end can be any card, a product does not define high end to me. You pull an Luck super from platinum that is high end to me...NT or exquisite pro uniforms only are high end products which have a lot of low end stuff...

Products off the top of my head i would not consider high end or I would want even if it were a 1/1 and will never have in my collection

Prestige
R&S
Sage
Bowman
Leaf
Gridiron
Press pass, love their racing, but FB uh no
Inception
Triple Threads way too many 1/1s, holds no value long term...
Five Star...copycat of TTT...quotables are the best aspect of FS IMO...but overall a supposedly high end product that has fell flat in value every year it has been released...and dual booklets LMAO...stupidity at its finest...

Not a fan of UD college stuff either...college is over, time to play with the big boys now and UD need to step up and put on their big boy pants and put Exquisite back where it belongs...until then it is a joke...IMO

If you are a fan of any product I mentioned do not get your panties in a wad it is just my personal opinion...thanks

This needs to be reworked.......the way i see highend-mid-low is this........

highend......if you can sell it and make your car payment!!!!!

mid end.....run of the mill, 50-$250 cards

low end, anything below that, since sooooooooo many cards are 20,30,40 now days, I think 50 is that crossing line, anything under $3 is pretty much a giveaway card, because after shipping/etc, thats pretty much what you are doing.

just think about what cards pull over $250 for a second now, it either has to be a standard rookie auto of a superstar (example, Aaron Rodgers finest auto), or a mid tier rc of a star, or a sssssssssssp (5 or less in a good product) semistar rc........
