Default 1 Box of 2011 Chrome and 1 Box of 2012 Chrome

Told myself I'm only buying chrome now, not matter how expensive it gets...its got the best value hands down. I'm currently looking at both of these boxes and about to break them. Will update thread with 2011 box first...Lets see some Kaepernick!

Good luck, but I've never understood the theory that Chrome has this amazing value to it

You get one auto and what, 2-3 colors and 3-4 refractors that unless you hit the two or three right players sell for a buck a piece?

How is that great value at $100 a box or more?

It's completely awful at the hobby level (without the right players of course). Chrome has value in retail because retail is loaded.

After the few set collectors slap their sets together, the prices and demand for color is through the floor.

2011 Chrome
Torrey Smith Base Auto on card
Bruce Carter and Shane Vereen Crystal Atomic Refractors
Rahim Moore Blue Refractor
Cameron Heyward Black Refractor
Newton, Kaepernick, Green Base Rookies
I've had better and also done much worse...Now to 2012 Chrome

2012 Chrome...
Posey refractor auto (on card)
Lagarrette Blount gold ref
Lamichael james prism ref
peter konz black ref
steve smith purple ref
RGIII tall boy

Not bottom of the barrel, but still not great, kind of a disapointing break overall

You can get burned on these boxes or hit the jackpot. But the difference from Chrome to other products is the potential jackpot can be HUGE. $1000+ instead of $300.
