Jagr/ Selanne Old Time(ers) Debuts

Selanne became the oldest player at (42 yrs, 200 day's) to have 4 points in a game (previously record holder Gordie Howe 42 yrs. 326 day's)

Jagr returns with a 4 point performance also at 40 yrs. + (41 on Feb. 15) showing that experience still reigns in the NHL, there are a ton of talented young players but without quality veteran leadership teams will not succeed IMO.

Congrats to Selanne on his 21st season and GO GRAYBEARDS!!

Wouldn't Howe still hold the record then.. ?

I have been a fan of both of those guys since pretty much the beginning of each guy's career in the NHL. I agree that Selanne is criminally underrated as a player, but most, if not all, of it stems from the fact that he never played in the East. He is the only reason I would dare sit through a Ducks game nowadays. I wish Jagr had never left the NHL because I am sure he could had come close to scoring 1900 or so regular season points without a doubt.

Two throwbacks to a better era of hockey. Love the fact that these two are still producing!
