1951 Bowman Mantle BVG 4.5 pulled last night in Heroes of Sports

So all you guys still think this is a big sham, as Boomo pulled the Mantle last night...Yes there are loaded of boxes with trouts,harpers and lawries base cards, but this is a MONSTER HIT...HUGE BOOMJUICE FROM BOOMO LAST NIGHT

sure it seems fishy, but these cards are being pulled....i buy the cards, but not sold on the point system

I don't think people debate the authenticity of the cards being pulled but rather two fairly larger problems with "Heroes of Sport"

(1) Boomo turns people off. Yea, he's an honest guy but he's also a real douche when it comes to interacting with other people and it's hard to put your money behind a guy like that.

(2) The product devalues the whole sports card industry. It adds nothing new, and only regurgitates what is already out on the market. Topps makes their profit for producing cases, then charging more than the cards within are likely worth (cards lose value when cases are opened), Heroes of sport puts a lot of junk in these expensive cases and then takes their profit (so the cards lose even more value) and then it falls BACK into the hands of someone else.

All these guys are doing is transferring ownership of high end cards from one person to another ... for quite a profit I would imagine.

Winners - Heroes of Sport / eBay / Paypal / The United States Post Office (although they don't know how to turn a profit).

Losers - Everyone else

Who got the Mantle from the break though? I've heard that often the big cards pulled have some relationship back to the people who created the product and are friends with boomo. Did someone whom we know has no connection to them actually win the mantle? Or was this just another planted card to create more hype

i would like to see this question answered.

so far the big pulls i have heard of (ruth cut, mantles, other vintage cards) have all seemed to end up in the hands of Boomo, Gelfgelfgelf, or other people associated with Heroes of Sport. Not one person has come on the boards and said "OMG, look what Boomo pulled for me in his HOS break!" (besides boomo and gelf and now this dude)
