has anybody seen the clip on Sportscenter making the rounds??
apparantly near the end of the game, he turned towards the Bills bench and did a little dance while flipping the Bills off with both hands..wow and this is supposeto be one of the "classiest" owners in the league?? something tells me you wouldnt see Ralph Wilson or the owners of the Steelers or Colts making this obnoxious gesture and to make matters worse..Roger Goodell wasright beside him!! wtf..way to go Mr. Commissioner..if he doesnt get some kind of fine-the way he seems to hand them out like candy-especially when he was on hand to witness this, itd be a joke and in his apology of course-"i completely respect Ralph Wilson and our history together, i just got caught up in the excitement" what a joke |

I saw this a few minutes ago. If they can fine Ochocinco 20k for his little joke then Wilson needs to get at least 50K, especially since he is an owner.

Are you kidding me!?!?!?!?
![]() ![]() ![]() Fined!?!?!? Oh yes. Major finage! If Goodell doesn't fine him, I'm gonna, I'm gonna, well nothing but he should fine him. Who has the power to fine Rodger Dodger if he doesn't fine Adams?

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The NFL has fined Titans owner Bud Adams $250,000 for making an obscene gesture at Buffalo fans while celebrating Tennessee's victory over the Bills.
Commissioner Roger Goodell notified Adams of the fine Monday, and league spokesman Greg Aiello said it is for conduct detrimental to the NFL. Adams was seen making the gesture while in his luxury suite and again on the field after Sunday's 41-17 victory. The 86-year-old Adams issued an apology a couple of hours later, saying he got caught up in the excitement of the moment. Goodell was at the game, after having breakfast with Adams. The league said that Goodell left Adams' suite at the end of the third quarter and spent the fourth quarter sitting with fans in the end zone before leaving the stadium. The Titans declined to comment after the fine was issued. But Adams said in his earlier statement that he expected league discipline for his actions and would accept any punishment. "I do realize that those types of things shouldn't happen," Adams said in that statement. "I need to specifically apologize to the Bills, their fans, our fans and the NFL. I obviously have a great deal of respect for Ralph Wilson and the history we have shared |

Not that I support him or the Titans or anything, but he did not TURN to face the Bills bench, he is in his box and just stood up because he was already facing the field. And Second Goodell was not right beside him, he was in the box with him earlier in the game but was down in the stands at that point in the game to "promote a family friendlier environment at the game."

and secondly..even if he didnt TURN towards the Bills bench, who the hell else do you think it was aimed at?? his own fans or players?? come on now i havent seen the whole clips on youtube or whatever so i have no idea how long it lasted..but i still dont buy his apology 1 bit. If he was so sincere, and was "just caught up in the moment", then why did he do it ONCE AGAIN while on the field AFTER THE GAME WAS OVER?? that makes no sense to be "caught in the moment and excitemnet" after the game is already finished.. and what disturbs me even more, i know that Mr. Adams cuts the checks every week, but the Titans players actually backed him up. Cortland Finnegan said "im all for it if Adams was enjoying himself. I dont know if he did it, but i condone fun things. If he was having fun doing it then by all means do it." and Stephen Tulloch quoted as saying "Hes a cool owner and its good to see him supporting us. To have an owner like that, its cool." wow..maybe im just biased because im a Bills fan, or maybe Adams really is jealous that Ralph Wilson got inducted and not him as was reported earlier, but that still doesnt excuse his actions or his pathetic attempt at an apology. |
