With stamp:
Dirk Nowitzki HOFer 2000 Fleer Autographics Authentic Auto Autograph Scarce SSD | eBay Without stamp: Dirk Nowitzki 2000 01 Fleer Autographics on Card Auto | eBay Moment ago, I came across with the two Dirk Nowitzki 2000-01 Fleer Autographics. One is with the stamp, and the other is without the stamp. 1. Which one is legit (or both are legit)? 2. Which one is counted as part of the 2000-01 Fleer Autographics mega-set? 3. If both are legit, what happened to the other one? Why did Fleer/SkyBox produce two "different" cards at that time (if that's indeed the case)? Thank you so much.

This is an easy one:
One was from 2000-01 Fleer Authority, inserted in to a BGS Graded capsule (holder) and called Autographics SSD (Signed Sealed Delivered) Both are legit autos. |

I'll add that with that 2001 era BGS standards were so high, cards directly from Fleer were mostly BGS 8-BGS 8.5. Very few 9s in the whole product and I never saw any 9.5s from this SSD issue. In fact I had a few 7.5s from this set. Most every one of these was eventually cracked from the BGS holder and sold in raw form.

Bumping this due to a general question about this card. Are fakes of it prevalent? If purchasing one with the stamp, not graded, is there still risk of it being fake?
Thanks to those in the know. |

I have yet to see a fake skybox autographics counterfeit outside of the 1996-97 Basketball set |

Dirk's autograph isn't particularly easy or profitable to fake. I've never seen an autographics, stamped or unstamped, that looked questionable

Is the stamp "SB"? I have seen some of the Dirk's from that set with that stamp which I think was from a Scoreboard buyback redemption a long time ago. |

Thanks for the replies. I'm just getting started, so don't have a specific one in mind. I was looking to see if there were known fakes, and if so, I possibly would avoid that card. Not sure if fakes happened after the Fleer bankruptcy.
Thanks again. |

I have seen a few blanks and forgeries post-bankruptcy, none of Dirk though. You should be safe. |

Thanks again. Knowing there are two versions with different embossing, now I'll want to track down the Skybox embossed one (if anyone reading has an extra...)
