Panini replacement, I think I got hosed

Back in Feb, I puller a prizm auto of John Henson 3/25 that had a dent in the middle of the card. You could feel it on the front but there was no evidence of it on the back. I sent it in to be replaced and today I got an email that it was being replaced with a Tyler Zeller prizm auto 24/25. I put in my note to panini that I collect Henson. I think I got the shorted on my replacement. Not a big fan of white centers. As a Timberwolves fan from 1990, I have seen too many white centers. At least Pikovich plays well now.

Your return postage would cost more than the card itself.

I thought that since I returned it early, near the release of prizm, I stood a better chance at getting a replacement. Oh well.

Middle Zeller is a solid hold for now. Dude's going to be around a long time, and the Prizm Autos /25 should retain decent value through the years.

That said, the Henson is definitely worth more and has a much higher potential ceiling.

I sold one of the /25 prizm Zellers for $45 a couple months ago. They usually go for at least $25 all day long. Value wise I would say they are pretty comparable.

I am not trying to start a race rant in my thread so please do not take my comment as an offense to white people. As a white guy myself and a t wolves fan, I tired of watching Randy Brewer, Luc Longley, and the long list of centers the wolves threw at the NBA over the years. Remember, in 1992, the wolves had the best chance at the #1 pick because of our league worst record and we picked Christian L with the 3rd pick. We could have had Shaq. I don't want to start a historical debate over the top 5 white centers versus the top 5 African American centers in the NBA. Shaq, Wilt, B. Russell, Kareem, The dream, it would not even be close.

I will hold onto Zeller and see what he turns out to be but I have felt all season that if John Henson goes on the Dwight Howard muscle building program, he could turn into something in the future. I was disappointed with my replacement but only time will tell who develops into a solid player. Zeller should get more media attention on the Cavs with Kyrie. Henson is on the bucks, enough said.
