Default Another 'uncut sheet' Card

Yet another person trying to use BGS to legitimize a card that isn't. The red refractor Stanton's were only done on uncut sheets and never packed out. I for one am getting tired of BGS letting this crap happen. People actually trust that they know what they are doing and it is helping the scammers rip people off. Seller has a bunch of others that were cut from the same sheets so more than likely he is fully aware of what he is doing.

You think it could've been replaced some how(different 9.5 and somehow he slipped the Stanton in the sleeve).

Just looking at the scan, the centering is way off left to right and the bottom cut is way off also. The card looks crooked on the bottom. More white on the left bottom then on the right bottom.

If this was actually graded a 9.5 by Beckett, shame on them.

I suppose it is possible as scammers have gotten pretty good but those raw labels are pretty hard to mess with I would imagine. Certainly not a 9.5 but also not even a 'real' card so which is worse? BGS is becoming a joke and they better pull their heads out soon while they still have a chance. As for this seller I have reported this item and a few others. I know for a fact the red isn't real as I had previously bought one and talked to Topps after and they confirmed they were only done on uncut sheets and never packed out. The gold one he has is the same. There are some of those that were packed but all the legit ones are SN'd.

Yeah I know they were not packed out and at least you reported the item.

The hobby is full of scammers looking to score and I have a bad feeling the companies(BGS, PSA, etc.) are turning a blind eye towards them.

But what could be worse, JSA getting into graded cards as soon as next year? Oh but that is another clusterfudge to deal with later.

Is the serial number on the RCR only for Beckett's internal system?

I have never had one raw graded so that is a question I would like to know too. I doubt that it is searchable like the slabbed graded ones are.

Kind of a thread-jack,but were ALL of the red refractors not packed out, or just the Stantons? My only exposure is via Cashner, and I've never seen a legitimate card numbered below /199.

Not really sure. I know that the Stanton's weren't for a fact and I can't say that I've seen any other players with sn'd reds but I haven't really looked either. There are a ton of the cut reds, blues and golds of him. Really makes me wonder how many sheets were let go and even why in the world it happened. The lack of a sn is a dead giveaway. Topps says that they are unaware that any ever made it out without being stamped. It is Topps though so take that with a grain of salt.
