Default Vick ballard out for season

Vick Ballard - Indianapolis Colts - 2013 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Colts RB Vick Ballard will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a knee injury in Thursday's practice.
Ballard popped up on the injury report Thursday as a limited participant, but there was zero indication the injury was this severe. This news vaults Ahmad Bradshaw into the unquestioned lead-back role, making him a RB2/flex option this week against the Dolphins. Donald Brown will handle backup duties while the Colts look for a No. 3 back. We'll update Ballard's specific injury once we hear it. Sep 13 - 12:25 PM

Well crap. Best of luck on his coming back, that blows since he had a nice showing in game 1.

I feel bad for Ballard as I never wish injury onto anyone...........

But I do have Bradshaw on 2 of my 3 fantasy teams, so I can't say I'm not happy hearing this at the same time

McGahee on his way to Indy now??? I think he'd be a better lead back for the Colts then Bradshaw.

Dropped is a very appropriate word to use with Dobson. Unfortunately I have a couple of his autos that "dropped" in value last night due to his "dropped" passes.

Doubt it

If they wanted to go that route, they would have signed McGahee instead of Bradshaw to begin with

Indy isn't looking for anyone as they drafted Kerwyn Williams and had signed him to the practice squad after cutting down the roster to 53. With Ballards injury Bradshaw moves to 1, Brown moves to 2, and Williams takes the 3rd spot.

Sucks to have it happen. However, should make an interesting game on Sunday against my Phins

This blows. Was really looking forward to seeing how he progressed this year. I blame this on it being Friday the 13th. Crap, crap, crap.

Bradshaw will be fine. Colts had the lowest number of offensive reps in the league last week...he's healthy and can handle the load. Hate Ballard went down though, I was hoping they would split reps and keep both healthy for later in the season. Oh well...I know AB's ready to roll.

Damn, this sucks. Easily one of my favorites on the team. I have ZERO faith in Donald Brown's ability to carry the rock, so I guess we're looking at Bradshaw and bringing back Kerwynn Williams? Heck, I'm sure Delone Carter is doing zip right now. Why not bring him back into the fold?

im so tired of donald brown, what a big let down he is. all i can remember about donald was that block he missed, when peyton said "god damnit donald"

Yup, he's forever known now as "Dammit Donald" Brown. Guy has been an absolute bust thus far. I mean, don't get me wrong, he's had some nice moments but has never been able to put it all together.
