How to run the random (to show that it is being done in real time):

Here is the tutorial video:

Host run random tutorial for blowoutcards, Recorded on 9/21/2013 BlowoutTV on USTREAM. Baseball

1) Start your recording.

2) Record a NEW post in your thread stating that you are now live and recording the random.



3) Run the random on random.org and post the results in a NEW post.



4) Show all spots slowly on the screen so that they can be easily checked against the posted random.

5) Record a NEW post in your thread that you are saving the video.



6) Save the video to ustream

7) Post the link to your saved video in your thread.

There is plenty of software available, both free and paid.

1. Ustream Presenter - Ustream Producer: Download the free video streaming desktop application. Broadcast from PC, Mac. Transitions, multiple cameras, picture in picture, HD, H.264
2. ManyCam (what I use) - ManyCam free virtual webcam effects software

Dave, you are missing steps 2 & 5. I know it may seem trivial and like overkill, but we are doing that intentionally.

We want those separate posts and time stamps to be in your video for transparency. Just for redundancy.

Here's my video for a real random and my in thread post to go with it. Please let me know how to make it more easily visible, it's readable but I'm sure it should be able to pick up my screen better.

Is there any options to set with that manycam?

No, this was not done correctly.

It is important to read all the rules and follow all the steps.

You were not approved yet to run your own randoms, you did not have it listed in your op prior to accepting spots that you would run the random yourself (was not an option at the time), you did not follow all the steps for the random.

Use CTRL & + to make increase the size of the font on the websites you are using (blowout and random.org). That will make it legible.

ugh.. my screen is somehow not clear at all.. i need to get this fixed before i can do randoms.. here was my video :/

Use ctrl & + to increase your screen size. You also want to record at high quality.

I tried increasing the screen size before i recorded and clicked high quality on ustream...but that's how it ended up. I will try a different laptop...maybe mines too old? i will try it again later tonight, but procedure-wise, the video was done correctly? (i'll do it again anyways)

Yeah, you did it perfect. Maybe it defaulted to LQ by mistake?

here is a clearer video.. it's isn't crystal clear but you can read everything in the video. hopefully that should be good enough for the randoms!
