Well, what's your thoughts?
Do you see them winning the WC against TB? Do you see them beating Boston? Do you think they have enough to make it to the World Series? Can they win it all in 2013?? Thoughts?? |

Would love to see them beat TB in the WC game, and this is coming from a Red Sox fan so I think you know how I feel about them playing Boston!!
![]() Francona has done a great job but pitching wins in the playoffs and I don't think they have the staff to take them very far, TB has the starting pitching and I would very much prefer Boston playing Cleveland in the ALDS. Either way good luck it's nice to see Cleveland back in the hunt!

16 games under .500 against teams with a winning record. They will not go anywhere in the playoffs this year.

I think the Rays will let Alex Cobb pitch against the Indians if they make it that far, Indians are basically the best team in the league vs left handers.(Major League Team Stats » 2013 » Batters » Advanced Statistics | FanGraphs Baseball)
I just really hope they make it, because the Rangers and Indians have had much easier schedules this year. |

Unfortunately, there is truth here.
1997 was your best chance. That was a good team. This team is out over its skis, it's playing above its talent level and shouldn't make it out of the first round. Don't feel bad, I'm a Dodger fan, and they are so banged up and barely playing .500 ball right now, they probably won't make it out of round 1 either. Indians have had a great year, just getting this far is a great accomplishment. Just enjoy it, it's been fun. Seeing teams like the Indians and Pirates do well and watching the Yankees go home makes me feel good about baseball. It's gonna be a fun post season!

Enjoy the ride, but I doubt they get a home playoff game.

They are the hottest team in the league right now, 17-6 record in September but have had the easiest schedule by far. Either way, getting hot right before the playoffs can propel a team beyond most people's expectations. With no clear favorite in either league, it should be a fun ride.

And 11 of those are against 1 team. For the most part all teams with 90 wins beat up on bad teams and are maybe .5 against teams over .500, not the rule, but should hold close.

Wow everyone needs to calm down first, the Indians haven't even clinched a playoff spot.
This is the Indians we are talking about. I have my hopes set pretty high right now that they can sweep the Twins and get into the playoffs but I've been an Indians fan forever so I try not to get too excited. If they do make it, then I see them beating the Rays in the WC and then beating Boston as well. I'm calling it now, Perez will blow a close game, Giambi will pinch hit and hit a homer to get the Indians the lead back in one of the games. Dude has been so clutch this year. |

After the last series against Detroit, I figured they were done. They want to win. I don't know if they can beat the Red Sox though. Next year though, A.L. central champs.

Once you're in the Playoffs, anything happens.
The Indians winning it all would be one hell of a story....I hope they at least make it to the REAL playoffs in the divisional round.

well they are definitely hot at the right time, but i just dont see their pitching taking them into a deep playoff run......my guess is they win the WC (which is unfortunate for my Rangers) but lose to the Rays in the play-in game.
