Two Nice Topps Value boxes

I stopped off at Wal-Mart today and noticed one value box left so I thought of what people here have said "Never leave the last box." So I grabbed it.

Not a lot in the Topps packs, but in the second Platinum pack I got this.

I figured I would let my luck ride so I went to another Wal-Mart and once again there was one box left so I picked it up.

Once again, nothing much in the Topps except a Tyler Bray Camo parallel. In the first pack of Platinum I pull this

Happy with my second auto, I wasn't expecting much in the next pack. I open it and notice a card backwards in the pack. Turn it over an see ...

I was today at least. I bought another one of these last week and pulled a Ronnie Lott coin card numbered to 75.

I threw it on ebay. Was expecting a little more for it, but oh well.

Basically out of four of these I bought, I got two jersey autos, a frost auto and a coin card. I think I'll quit while I'm ahead.

You killed it....I just went to walmart last night......bought all 5 Value boxes they had....

Hit 1 Autograph....not even worth saying who...but...as always...it was fun....gotta love wasting your money on retail

It is a great feeling. So far I've had much better luck in retail than I have with hobby.

Well maybe not since technically these platinum packs are hobby.

Well, bought another today. Walked in and grabbed the middle box out of five.

Pulled a Dion Jordan camo parallel in the third or four Topps pack. I was starting to give up hope of anything else when the first Platinum pack was basically full of junk. In the second pack I noticed the infamous backwards card in the pack. Flipped it over to see a Knile Davis base auto.

I know it's not a big name, but my luck so far with this product is crazy. Out of the five I've purchased, I've pulled four autos from Platinum and a Ronnie Lott bronze coin card numbered to 75.

Of course I have a mountain of base cards as well.

I can't explain this luck. Maybe it's the Jumbo Jack combo I bought for a homeless lady last week. The good karma is coming in the form of blue ink. Not sure.

The TWill is listed on ebay. I listed pretty high but with a best offer feature. My PC is Baylor players, so he fits in it, but I figured since he's hot, maybe I could get a little more for it.

The others are available. Send me an offer. I would rather sell but would listen to trade offers that would fit to the above mentioned PC.

I live in far south Fort Worth, so I have three within a short drive. On the day I really well, I bought the first one at the Crowley Walmart on FM1187 on the way back from taking my son to daycare. That where I pulled the Goodwin.

I then drove past my house and stopped off at the McCart and Sycamore School Rd location. That's where the Stills and the TWill joined the family. I also pulled the Ronnie Lott coin card from this location.

The Kniles Davis auto came from the Saginaw Walmart in north Fort Worth. It seems I'm all over Fort Worth these days, and I'm constantly going into Walmarts and looking for lonely value boxes.

I wouldn't say they are really loaded. I really think I have just gotten lucky. I have bought one that didn't have squat in it, and I really think that the majority don't have much. But, in my opinion, making the drive to several different stores around me helps.

Last year I bought several of the same things, and I think I pulled one auto at best, and one of the ones I bought this year was also full of crap.

This will sound stupid but I have a superstitious system that I use. I won't by unless there is only one left, or more than four. If more than four, I buy the fourth. Stupid I know, but it has produced a little for me.

If you do the math one in every 3.33 value boxes has a platinum auto. That's not including the 6 topps packs.

Last year I pulled some of my biggest cards out of these boxes. Russell Wilson 3 CLR RPA from platinum 3/99 (Jersey number) and a Kuechly 1/1 auto, and a tannehill variation auto from topps. I've opened quite a few this year and just last night got my first RPA which was a nice 3 color Andre ellington /99. I'm gonna wait til they get marked down before I get anymore probably, because nobody around here really buys them besides me.
